  1. still available here: http://www.phonicarecords.com/product/view/144425
  2. Whew! Got my order into BM by a pubic hair. Stoked for the blue!
  3. Thanks. That's encouraging. I don't have my hopes up about getting a replacement for the rust brown, but I may at least give them a shot and see how it goes.
  4. Yeah, I know. I'm not sure if I'm even going to bother with them to be honest. I will definitely think twice before I purchase anything from them again though. But...it happens even with the best pressed records. Still, it is playable, but it's far from perfectly flat and will be noticable anytime I decide to give it a spin. Really disappointing.
  5. Just got my brown copy in. Warped to hell. What....a....letdown.
  6. My REM collection is pretty stupid big at this point. CD singles, 7/jukebox/12" singles (uk and US..australia, spain, etc), deluxe/special editions, box sets, etc. If it's been officially released and is a variant of something I already have, I buy it. There's not a lot of REM pieces I don't have. They are the only band that I've bought countless pieces of whatever has their name on it. But...when I started collecting vinyl again about 10 years back, in addition to REM, I decided to grab all of the other artists that I love, with the random album here and there of just things I wanted. So far artists I really like, I tend to dig in on *everything* they've ever put out. I'll finish a discography (usually just studio albums) and then move onto the next, finish it, etc. It's worked out really well, because I'm at a point where I'm kind of done buying the stuff I just "had" to have to finish my favorite artists off. At this point, I just kind of buy new/old stuff randomly with no focus on any one in particular and it's really expanded my collection variety-wise.
  7. I have it. $300 is definitely a lot to spend. I'd only recommend this to the super hardcore NIN fan or someone who is really, realllllly into art books. I'm a NIN fan, but not nearly as hardcore as others, but I picked this up our of sheer curiosity and because I'm generally a fan of whatever imagery that Trent tends to run with. That said, the book is *huge*. It's....heavy. The book is covered in felt and resides inside a felt covered case with a cover that folds out with a (heavy) sheet of metal embedded in it. The front of said case is burnt which is a nice touch. The book itself has a LOT of images...great color, textures, thought provoking stuff that would take you hours to absorb if you're into that sort of thing. The pages and print are absolutely outstanding. Many of the pages have a neat metallic tinge to them...sort of a shiny "sheen" for lack of better words. Honestly, it's a gorgeous piece that is a really super nice addition to any NIN fan's collection. I'd say it's well worth the money of what it most likely cost to produce the thing. Is it worth $300 for something you may end up leaving on a shelf and rarely look at or even handle because you're afraid of wear/tear? For me, that's the bigger question.
  8. Dammit! And I just got the Animal Rights reissue last week!
  9. This. I started doing business with Popmarket because I enjoyed the concept of the "daily deal" where there was an item(s) showcased that was truly a great deal, whether I personally would have purchased it or not. In the last several months, it's turned into a spamfest of email where everything is a deal. When *everything* is a deal, then *nothing* is a deal in some cases. Honestly, I can't tell you in most instances because the emails are 1) too frequent and 2) click-bait-y and I tend to delete them right away when they are (yeah, the one the other day with Shaq and the cat "I can haz deal" or whatever comes to mind...no...just...NO). Other than that, I will say that I've spent a LOT of money with PM. There have been a few bumpy times along the way, but their returns/exchanges procedure is top notch when I've gotten damaged/defective vinyl. You don't just get that anywhere and that alone has kept me spending money with PM. My only other wish is for more discount codes.
  10. Same great quality of the Five Years set. Flat, clean, quiet vinyl that sounds superb IMO. Diamond Dog sounds a bit rough to my ears, but I'm a noob to that record and have found out since that it wasn't recorded well to begin with (it even says this in the book). Overall, I think the sound quality is on par with the Five Years box. I own the STS deluxe vinyl box and I think both versions of STS and Nassau discs sound pretty much exactly as they did in that release. Sleeves are a bit thin for my liking, but they're alright. Vinyl is in paper sleeves with poly inners. Honestly, I think anyone that picks this up would be thrilled with the sound quality on it. If anything, the only real let down is the overlap with having two David Live and STS albums here, and the fact that recall 2 is only 1 disc this go around. Other than that, it's fantastic.
  11. If anyone is considering/wanting the deluxe package for the extra overpriced swag, but aren't really keen on getting the shirt/jigsaw puzzle or whatever. You can buy that stuff individually at the UK store. Seems like a load of sh*t to me that the US store doesn't have that option. Go figure... http://r-e-m.firebrandstores.com/
  12. It sure is! I *think* I'm pretty close to having most every REM vinyl bootleg out there. There's only a handful I know of that I don't have yet. The first I ever got was the Do You Remember Dead Giveaway Office from a friend. I've probably had it for over 25 years or so now. Long after that, I somehow snagged the copy of Chronic Murmurings. It was that bootleg that made me want everything else out there. Some are good, most are bad, but every single one is a treasure trove of great stuff.
  13. Woot! Just got Mellow Gold and Odelay from Bong Load!
  14. Amazon has the 2 LP listed as 140g pressed at Pallas. http://www.amazon.com/Getaway-Red-Hot-Chili-Peppers/dp/B01F3RF14O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1462499444&sr=8-2&keywords=red+hot+chili+peppers+the+getaway Sooo..is it safe to assume that only rhcp.com has a double 180g pressing?
  15. Bowie anyone? Looking for the picture discs! Can't seem to find them anywhere.
  16. I read that as "You guys will crash our site at 10am on Monday, 4/18."

  18. Just recently picked up the colored MOV versions of these too! It's Bowie though and a must buy for me anyway.
  19. Off the top of my head... Muse - Their first 4 albums (with OOS sounding the best but still shit) are awful. The last 3 (Resistance, T2L, and Drones) sound excellent! Silversun Pickups - all of their releases sound like garbage to me especially Swoon and Carnavas Weezer - Everything Will Be Alright...sounds like someone threw a blanket over my speakers. Compared to their other vinyl releases, it's shit. Foo Fighters - Sonic Highways. For a band that was supposedly splooging over sound quality and vinyl on Wasting Light, this one is a huge letdown.
  20. Bah. Assholes. They shouldn't post blue as a preorder option to their website then. That feels like bait and switch to me.
