  1. Looks like the regular MOV mint green vinyl pressing to me. Not exclusive.
  2. Damn, and I just got the black MOV version of this less than a month ago. This might be a worth add to the Bowie collection though.
  3. Yep. Mine arrived pretty quickly. That said, I ordered a ton of the ac/dc reissues from popmarket back in early November and I'm still waiting on them to complete the order. I didn't get a single piece of the order until early March. You might drop them a line and see what's up. Their customer service is usually pretty good...slow..but good.
  4. You should check out ccvinyl.com as well then. I placed an order last week for a bunch of Bowie titles that were cheaper without a code there than with a code at ccmusic. Worth a look.
  5. +1 on the sound. I am really impressed with how damn good this album sounds. Clean and punchy. Great looking vinyl too!
  6. Yes. Picture discs almost always sound like garbage. Somebody correct me on this if I'm wrong please, but my understanding is that the picture sandwiched in the middle allows for a much more shallow groove which in turn affects overall fidelity. A real shame these are on picture discs for sure! Looks like it would be a great set to own otherwise. Pass.
  7. Listening to the track as purchased off iTunes and the spoken parts are part of the track...and that shit is fucking...lame... Love the music, but it just sounds like a long drawn out version of some of the jams they do at the end of songs in their live sets with a chorus added on. Yeah, it rocks and all, but there's nothing really standout or creative about it. Underwhelmed. I hope this track isn't representative of the rest of the album.
  8. Honestly I think the 2nd Law could have been better had they 1) dropped one of Wolstenholmes tracks and 2)paid more attention to the running order. It should have opened with an abbreviated version of "Isolated System" and then gone right into "Unsustainable" and then closed the album with "Supremacy" because that twang Matt does at the end of the song would have been the perfect closing notes to the album. Oh well... edit: lol..sitting here thinking about that album and maybe open with Unsustainable and then an abbreviated version of Isolated System (that song is too damn long for what it is) somewhere in the middle of the album instead. Still...good album, poor execution.
  9. I wholeheartedly agree. That album cover is absolute shit compared to the rest of their discography. It looks like a low-rate mockup done by a fan. Terrible!
  10. Bad Wolf is kind of a nice throwback to MS for me. It could have fit on that album very well. Windows is absolute shit though. Seriously, that song is a fucking turd. I hope the rest of Run is better, but I'm afraid the sophomore slump might have caught up to Bruno on this one. Going to give the album a listen today because I'm getting pre-sale tix for a show tomorrow morning and have to decide if I want to pony up for VIP with meet and greet or just roll with a GA ticket instead. If the album is good..VIP it is.. I've been through 3 copies of Megalithic Symphony on vinyl and all of them were terrible. I can't vouch for the sound that much at all because every copy I had was so warped that I didn't even bother. The quality control on those pressings absolutely sucked. At least on the copies I had anyway.
  11. Did anyone else order up Swoon or Carnavas from MerchNow and they arrived in less than stellar condition? My copies have some pretty dinged up corners. On top of that, Carnavas sounds fucking awful. I was hoping for some clarity and dynamics, but it sounds completely flat and devoid of any dynamics at all. Really disappointing all around.
  12. Got my order of 12 albums yesterday. Glad I got it in before the old code died! Luckily, everything arrived in great shape with the exception of a MOV copy of Run DMC's "Raising Hell" which has a good bend in the cover. It was hard to even see it in the MOV sleeve, but stuck out like a sore thumb outside of it. I can live with it considering the cash I saved on the overall order plus not wanting to deal with their returns. Here's hoping they throw out another code soon!
  13. Nonsense. They might be higher on ccvinyl, but ccmusic still has them listed for less and the code still works. There's no indication that ccmusic is going away. Noticed this in the email importcds sent out: Think of CCVinyl.com like your favorite record store, except that we deliver to YOU. We guarantee white glove delivery (that means NO BENT CORNERS). And behind the counter, so to speak, we've got an incredible staff of knowledgeable music lovers to help with all your questions ...drop us an email at [email protected] and let us know what you like. And what you don't like. We want to hear what you think. Knowledgeable music lovers. lol! Alrighty then... If my $300 order arrives with no problems, I may consider doing business again, but at this point it's just a hassle messing with them. I only did to fill some Music on Vinyl wants.
  14. Follow up on my issue: I contacted support via email and got a response quickly. I was told that there were some issues with my shipping address. I was having shipped to my work instead of home/billing address and my office address number is just "1" and can be spelled out as "one" or just "1" which must have been hard to figure out for whatever reason. Really weird because I've probably ordered from them at least 6 times already. My order is back in though so hopefully it arrives in good shape and the seam splits are non-existent. Anyway, I had a really thorough convo with a guy named Christopher that resubmitted my order and gave me the jan1520 discount to boot. I was having a hard time trying not to laugh as he was calling off my items as he put them in... "okay...so the next one is...Min-is-try....Twitch...and then another one...The Land of Rape and Honey...and another...The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste?"
  15. Just got an email from these guys cancelling an order I placed 2 weeks ago...12 albums coming in at $300...saying they are all out of stock. When I go to their website, they all show in stock and that my order is still open. Wtf? After reading the last few pages, I shouldn't be surprised I guess.
  16. It was pretty easy actually. I don't recall having any issues getting my copy at all and for a long time, you could find a metric shit ton of it on ebay for a decent price. Just did a quick glance...it's going for crazy amounts now...soooo...with the Foo's popularity probably higher now than it's ever been and the disappointing list that has been shaping up so far, I suspect this $10 will be flying out the doors fast.
  17. That Beatles box...it's been awhile since I've seen one, but I think it's a German release? If my memory serves me right, I think it has some versions of songs not found elsewhere. Do you know anything about it? It looks like you're off to nice start!
  18. Got my copy from SSD and it's got about a 1.5" seam split at the top. Ugh! Hopefully they will swap out for a new one.
  19. I've got a copy on the way as well. Not sure I'm sold on the PVC bag though. Don't they supposedly degrade over time and cloud up any and all vinyl in the near vicinity of the bags? Seems like I saw a thread on this over at Steve Hoffman forums not all that long ago. Regardless, the blood red looks sweet. Since it's MOV, it's bound to sound pretty good too.
  20. Got my autographed copy today. It's hard to tell that it's even Billy's signature and below that it says something else that I can't even make out...and then it's hand numbered below that. I got #579/1000.
  21. Ahhh the risk you take mail ordering any vinyl though. I try to stick to the bigger players because you always get good service even though you sometimes end up paying more for it. I'd already spent almost $200 with CCMUSIC and this was another $60 and was about to drop another $100 or more once this return was finished. Just really bummed because it's so helpful to save a few bucks no matter how much it is. And just yesterday I returned a copy of The Pixies "Trompe Le Monde" MoFi back to Amazon because of a seam split. So damn easy and I got my refund almost immediately. Why these smaller shops pull off that level of customer service is beyond me.
  22. I had an order of two records from ccmusic that I sent back to them 3 weeks ago because one of them arrived with completely open shrink and both of them had about 2" long seam splits at the top of the sleeves. They each had different price stickers that looked like they were pulled off some random store shelf. So I sent them back and I had asked for replacements but indicated that a refund would work as well. I finally got notification today that a credit was put back on my charge card minus the shipping that I paid. Really? They sent me beat up open shit and then don't have the decency to refund my shipping. And I was about to put in another $100+ order to them. Fuck ccmusic.
  23. Got my deluxe bundle today in perfect condition. Not signed, but wasn't expeting to get one anyway. It's a huge freakin box that won't fit in my expedit (boohoo). Not sure if I'd necessarily classify it as well made, but it seems rather sturdy. Great box set indeed. Not sure if it's worth $150, but it's super nice. Minor gripe: They should have made it to stand upright instead of felt on the back for it to lay flat. Everyone knows you're not supposed to lay your records flat. That said, you can obviously stand it on it's hinged end, but then the cover graphic is upside down. I'll probably buy some small adhesive felt pads to act as 'feet' on the hinged side.
  24. 3 cd's for $60? Soundgarden sure is proud of their shit aren't they?
