All those video game glasses have been going stupid fast, and then for stupid amounts of money. That Zelda one is great, though. If you're ever in town, come by Triple Crossing too. We make those good good hazy IPAs and have been doing a lot of wild ales lately.

    You work at TC?

Ill be stopping in RVA with my wife on our way to OBX in late May. We’re gonna hit Veil, Answer & TC before getting back on the road.

Just got back from our VT trip. We weren't able to get outside of Waitsfield after our hike but was able to get my hands on some Sip of Sunshine, Heady Topper, Maine Beer Co - MO and Rock Art's Limited Access at the Village Grocery in town. I grabbed a pint of Hill Farmstead's Edward at Mad Taco and it blew me away. Such a superb APA! Also had Fiddlehead's Second Fiddle DIPA and  Drop-In's Heart of Lothian Scottish Brown Ale during dinner at Fire & Ice in Middlebury before we started our hike. Both were really tasty. I was a bit surprised with Heart of Lothian, as it didn't seem to get much love in ratings, etc. Was super fresh/drinkable and had awesome flavor.

Thanks for all of the insight and recommendations. Definitely looking forward to getting back up to VT/Maine again next year.

I lived in VT for about 15 years. Feel free to PM me with any specific questions!

Hill Farmstead is about an hour or so from Stowe, but the lines can be long. It is your best, and generally only bet, if you want to have Hill without going to a beer bar.  If you are cool with consuming it in a bar you don't generally need to drive that far. Prohibition Pig, Blackback Pub and Mad Taco are your best beer bars in the Stowe/Waterbury area. The Bench and The Reservoir are pretty solid as well.

If you can travel near the Stowe area get up to the Mule Bar in Winooski (The Monkey next door also often has a great list) or down Three Penny Taproom in Montpelier. Both are about 20 minutes from Stowe are your best bet for beer lists full of great local stuff. Getting Alchemist beer is easy, just go there. Lawson's can be trickier but shouldn't be too bad. Just ask a bar tender at any of the bars with a decent list.

Foam (in Burlington) and Frost (in Hinesburg) are less sought after but do decent beer. River Roost has been getting some love but they opened after I moved.

Thanks for the info guys! I'll let ya know what I end up getting my hands on.

  4. Heading to VT Friday - Monday. Will mostly be near Middlesbury, Waitsfield, Stowe. Looking to grab some Sip of Sunshine and any other delicious brews. I'm aware of a handful of choice VT brews (heady topper, SoS, 2x Sunshine) but wanted to reach out and see if theres anything I should keep my eye open for in the area. Thanks in advance!

I just sold my extra copy of Standards a week or two ago, or I'd have just given it to you. There is a used copy of it at the Exchange in Fairlawn (at least was last week when I was there), but I didn't see what price they were asking for it.

That would've been rad, haha. I appreciate the thought.

Yeah, Square has the marble variant for like $18 too. I know I can get all 3 for decently cheap. I'll probably end up just buying them but wanted to see if anyone wanted to trade before doing so.
