I've upgraded my turntable a couple times since last I posted. Specifically the power supply....twice. Grabbed a used Linn Lingo II, and then recently pulled the trigger on this beast. Hands down the biggest game-changer I've encountered whilst playing records. I'm a happy camper now.

I always love allenh's use of opinion as fact. So classic hi-fi. ;-) In short--the Linn LP12 is NOT inferior. But we all have our opinions!

Best place to look for a used RP3 is RIGHT HERE. I have one for sale. Seriously. The only reason I still have it is because I suck at putting things on eBay.

Ummm...I am STILL selling my Rega RP3 with Exact2 cartridge for this very amount of money. So if you're looking for this "really good deal", I would go ahead and buy this 'table from me. Because what dethrock said is true...a $60 record clamp may feel like it's not hurting your bank account...but at the same time all it is doing is keeping you from being able to pull the trigger on a real upgrade.

Ha! No, not since I bothered them relentlessly the past few weeks asking about it. I'll see if they still have a copy, and end up selling one to someone here. They're down the street from me.

Went to a very quiet off-the-beaten-path record shop in Dallas today because the guy's online site said he had a copy. Turns out it's just a representation of what he can order at any time. That being said, after trying two distributors, his third option had some in stock. So it's definitely hard to find but there are copies lingering about. I told him to order more than one.
