  1. It would probably be a bigger deal if kids listened to their records instead of hanging them on the wall and/or refiling them on their Ikea shelving by spine color.
  2. Reverse eBay pricing, where the record will be $1,000 and shipping will be $65...
  3. Now that you mention it, Of Montreal doing that Outback Steakhouse commercial was probably the beginning of the end of everything...
  4. I could take the McDonalds vinyl given their "history" with the format, but seriously - if we ever needed proof that we've officially reached total-point-of-saturation, Little Caesars doing limited runs of vinyl is that proof.
  5. As others have pointed out, I may have been wrong about Polyvinyl and it actually gives out AirHeads and not Pixy Stix. Just remembered another one: Orchid Tapes used to give out Japanese apple hard candies that were really delicious - but again, it’s been a long time so I don’t know if they still do.
  6. Let's get serious here: who tosses in the best candy with their packages? I know Graveface throws in Pixy Stix most of the time, I think Polyvinyl might too. I want to say Joyful Noise used to give AirHeads out but it's been a long time since I've seen them do that. What am I missing?
  7. I know it was bundled with a coupon and sweatshirt but wasn’t this chicken thing technically a record sale?
  8. So does this technically make McDonalds the world’s biggest record store? (38,695 locations according to Google...)
  9. I'm ready for this. Got my iPhone 5c on standby at the order screen, and passing the time alternating between watching vines and the latest Harlem Shake uploads...
  10. I’m in this club. No names, please. Though if their idea is it will make it less desirable to flip, then I guess it works, because even I don’t want a record with my name scrawled on it.
  11. I think at this point they’re just doing it to you on purpose.
  12. Media: Mint (M) Sleeve: Generic Vinyl is brand new - never been played! Small sticker on label. Comes in clear protective sleeve.
  13. This is an age-old argument on here and at the end of the day it's a fact that many vinyl collectors consider whether something is limited or not as a key factor, as much as the artwork or the music itself. I have no problem with that. At a minimum, there's a lot of people who jump on preorders they otherwise wouldn't because they're announced as "limited" and don't want to miss out. If it was clear the product wasn't limited, they might take their time ordering it, wait for it to pop up from another retailer or see if it gets any cheaper over time. Again, I have no problem with this logic.
  14. Saw this guy pop up on Discogs, think it’s one of the auction winners? https://www.discogs.com/seller/shop3records/profile
  15. I worry this will lead to a lot of ill-advised bands trying to sell $35-40 single LPs and finding you don’t just automatically sell out of a short run record like in the old days, especially when any old band can release vinyl and you’re all competing for the same audience.
  16. Look guys - just buy some of her branded makeup while you wait for your preorders and the days weeks months years will just fly by. https://aboutface.com
  17. Imagine the uproar if we were talking about someone who was actually talented...
  18. I’d never seen this before this month, but I’ve noticed it a few times all of a sudden. From what I could gather, it means the parcel needed to be pulled from the regular delivery process and processed by hand by an employee for whatever reason - there are many things that could cause this. I don’t think it means there’s a serious problem or it won’t be delivered, even though the wording is a little alarming.
