  1. Why they gave those tracks a freaking title blows my mind they’re indiscernible from each other I’d rather have 2 minutes of Matt’s brother belching and then crushing beer can’s into his forehead than that
  2. Humiliation with scream outro is untouchable live vs the rest of their catalogue Here’s my YouTube vid, 2nd time it was played live https://youtu.be/kLzLzPuoCCs
  3. Agree with the bands...buuut radiohead and the ntl are NOT on the same level i just have a feeling they’re (or maybe Matt) are trying too hard to be cool or art hip for this LP
  4. Not In Kansas is what...a lullaby song to put your child asleep ?
  5. I agree with shit Rambo 100% the record is a slog to get through imho
  6. I can only like this post once - kissing my phones screen is just making me look fucking weird. Good - look at me bus strangers...loooook
  7. I’m on my phone so I can’t edit the above - but your last paragraph is exactly my thoughts on this album prbly the first LP from them I’ll never listen through fully after the first go around
  8. Alligator Boxer HV TWFM / SSDL (even) SWB Self Titled Cherry Tree & Virginia EPs I Am Easy To Find
  9. That’s a good one Quiet Light TPOY & Rylan are top ones for me
  10. Is there a notable difference in pressing quality for the blue vs the black???
  11. from start to finish, i really think it's lower than that for me. it's way too long, the "interludes" are completely worthless, the pacing of side B is terrible. the only saving grace of side B is Rylan. just biding my time until a 2010 blue s/t pressing comes shows up somewhere i did a fist bump when i saw the video of that Q&A - i'm fucking glad that guy mentioned that, maybe that'll be a seed in their mind for the next LP
  12. the only variant i'm keeping is the 180g UK black put money towards other items I dont have: spoon 180g gimme fiction radiohead knives out 12" spoon's upcoming LP
  13. i'm i in the minority in that Not In Kansas Anymore is the most boring song they've created? i have zero intention of ever listening to that full song again
  14. I'm in this mindset, although I don't think it's complete disappointment. I really wish Mills hadn't been the producer. as a whole album this is prbly the lowest ranked for me too side A > side B
  15. I’m with you 100% on this post and would like to buy you a beer sometime im a little bummed just because the ntl were my fav for a long time...but I feel like they taken a step back with the last 2 LPs. Some really cool songs on each but overall as a whole not strong get Steve albini in with them...he’ll just nap at the upstate NY studio but chime in when needed my current #1 is Radiohead
  16. this is a good post - but people / fans stuck on the vocals are not missing out. the 2nd verse guest vocal insert on rylan is really out of place and that song is the definition of overproduced compared to the KEXP and the SWB studio cut that's on youtube. i'm not saying every song is like that but this is definitely a concept / film album. it's also long and bloated by 20 mins - length definitely doesn't help this and the BCC interludes are boring as fuck, they don't do or go anywhere. I'm guessing that's Aaron or Bryce's way of being "minimal" but it really detracts from the LP IMO. i do agree with you that it's brighter vs SWB and it's definitely a grower...but i wish they brought in a producer who can reign in their talents and come out with a diamond
  17. Does anybody know which European distributor has the cheapest shipping prices to the United States? Thank you!
  18. Jesus Christ... the DA of NYC will likely pick this up too

  20. Hey Craig - thanks for the reply doesnt look like they ship to the States unless I'm doing something wrong
