Relapse Records Pre-ordered the limited print of True Widow's new album. The package arrived with no dents or dings and when I opened it the jacket was in perfect condition. I pulled out the vinyl and it had a spider web crack through half of it. I emailed Relapse telling them about it, showed pictures of the packaging and record and asked what I needed to do to replace it. Got a reply that said basically it's USPS problem not ours and to contact them. Since the package was sent media mail and uninsured there wasn't anything I could do through USPS. I emailed them back multiple times to no avail. I finally started posting my issue on their social media sites and within hours got an email offering to replace it with or a partial refund. I chose to get it replaced and sat patiently waiting for my new record to come. After a month I finally get my replacement copy of my album. Once again everything is in perfect shape until I get to the vinyl itself. It looks like someone placed the edge of record against a grinder. There is literally a straight edge right across the edge of the vinyl. I am done with this label, which sucks because many of my favourite bands are part of it.

If they could mess up a pressing before, they can do it again. -

Got my copy today. It looks and sounds fantastic, no warping whatsoever. I grabbed mine from soundstagedirect. -
I've had some artists I've enjoyed die in the past, but hearing about Jason absolutely gutted me. His music helped me through quite a few tough times in my life and knowing he isn't going to be making more music fucking kills me. He started the band Songs: Ohia (basically just him with revolving musicians around him) and released mostly somber folk songs. In 2003 he released the album Magnolia Electric Co. which was a bit of a departure from his previous releases. It had a much more alt-country feel to it. Soon after he started Magnolia Electric Co. and they continued on with the more alt-country sounding releases. In 2009 he released an album with Will Johnson but had to cancel the tour due to his alcoholism. Since then he has been in and out of rehab and released one final record last year called Autumn Bird Songs. He was one of the kindest people I've met and I really wish I could have seen him perform one last time. My favorite song by him and god damn if I haven't played it at least a dozen times in the past week.

I've been having way too much fun with Don't Starve. The animation is gorgeous and the sound and score are fantastic. Definitely worth the $11.99. -

This is going to be the first album in ages that I am going to force myself to wait until it finally comes out. -

Worst: The now defunct Absolutely Kosher records gave me nothing but problems back in the day. Constantly sending me the wrong albums and/or the wrong format after an already slow shipping time. It's a shame because it was one of my favourite labels. I finally gave up and ordered their releases through other sites. Best: I while back I ordered a couple of the Pomegranates albums from http://brokencircles.com/. For some reason they were having issues and it was delayed. They kept in touch with me the entire time and made sure I was kept in the loop. When my albums came they threw in the new Pomegranates album for free. It's something they didn't have to do but they did it anyways. Great customer service all around.

THE OFFICIAL EBAY CRAZINESS THREAD

Notice how no one has actually bid on that overpriced record? People put ridiculous "buy it now" prices on all different genres and releases.
