Got my Goya LP in today and it had an empty jacket from a Red Wizard album in the package as well. Did anyone else get this? I'm wondering if its just extras he's using as packing material or if it was meant for someone else.

I had a dream last night that Beck played a show in my kitchen and he played "Where it's at" but sang the lyrics "I've got two turntables and a microwave". Waking up sucked today.

This is the key. I regularly go through my collection and sell of records that I don't listen to often, or that were just impulse purchases, or things I bought just because they were cheap. I've realized that for me, the best record collection is going to be a smaller collection made up of my absolute favorite albums, rather than hoarding every record I can from every band I've ever listened to. Quality over quantity.

My name is Jared, and I'm on Santa's naughty list. I'll be 25 this month and I live in Salt Lake City. I'm into all sorts of music. I love 90s indie (labels like Elephant 6, UP, etc), shoegaze, stoner/doom, folk/americana (especially with female vocals), post rock, ambient, Electronic, post-punk, jazz, and everything in between. Some of my favorite bands are Pavement, Built to Spill, The Radio Dept., Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Mogwai, Low, Radiohead, Ty Segall, The Microphones/Mount Eerie, Melvins, Goya, Eagle Twin, LCD Soundsystem, Cal Tjader, Wilco, Guided by Voices, Earth, Neil Young, and many more. Someday, I'd love to restore a BMW 2002 and build a custom cafe racer style bike (out of an old BMW airhead or Honda CB). It's just a pipe dream for now though. I go to a lot of car meets/cruises/shows with my brother in his 78 Classic Mini (the link isn't his car, but you get the idea). I also help friends work on their cars. It's a fun hobby. I haven't been a lot in the last few years, but I love snowboarding in the winter. I'm hoping to make it up the mountain a lot more in the coming months. I go to a ton of shows. I average about two or three a week. I love traveling for shows when I can. I just spent a weekend at Red Rocks this summer, and it was incredible. I'm hoping to travel more often. Whenever I'm somewhere new, I try and stop by a record store and ask the clerk for some local band recommendations. I love buying cool local music. Maybe you could include some of your favorite local bands or maybe your band if you're in one. Like any other young adult, play video games (PS4/Xbox One) and watch a lot of movies/TV. Some favorite shows are Arrested Development, Orphan Black, The IT Crowd, 30 Rock, Stranger Things, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Silicon Valley, etc. I'm not super picky, so I'm sure I'll love whatever I'm given. I'm headed out to see Neil Young tonight. I've wanted to see him forever and finally, tonight's the night! So excited.

Mine has glue around all sides of the inside of the front and back covers, plus some residue on the front cover and some big scuffs across the front. It's a beautiful package, but I'm a little miffed at how sloppy my copy was.

Went to grab some pizza at Little Caesars tonight. Lady in front of me orders two pizzas and some crazy bread. The teenage girl working at the counter grabs her pizzas and sets them on the counter. The lady opens the box on the top and says in a real disgruntled voice" UHHhhhhh. Can I get one that doesn't look so messy?". The pizza looks fine to me. The girl at the counter is a little flustered. You can tell she hasn't worked there for long. She apologizes and goes back to grab a replacement. The girl comes back with the replacement, puts it on top of the other boxes, and starts reaching for the "messy" pizza. The lady grabs the stack and says "Nope. I'm taking that one too."

Congrats! Did you get the pay raise you asked for or did they try and talk you down?

Last month I saw her on the roof of a three story bar. You could see the whole cityscape from up there and there were fireworks going off in the background while she was playing. It was so picturesque. Unlike the normal bar crowd, everyone was completely silent and respectful. It was one of my unexpected favorite shows of the summer.
