  1. I preordered everything except the Storm vinyl from Amazon UK, the Canada website had a decent price on Storm (CDN$24) so I ordered from them Prime. I'm not holding out hope that the remastering will be great as Chris Potter did the This Is Music and the older ASIH-era tracks don't sound great at all so compressed, but given these are two of my all time fave albums I'm compelled to order everything and at least give it all a once listen through before I decide whether or not to keep it. At the very least I'm champing at the bit for that '92 Camden DVD.
  2. All I know is the splatter is exclusive to Amazon, so if Popmarket have any stock they made arrangements with Amazon. I highly expect their description is in error and the picture of the black vinyl they currently show is what they're offering, which would mean 180g. You don't very often hear of a retailer getting an exclusive and then sharing it with other retailers. Good price tho no matter which one it's for.
  3. UMC store has a few options up, here's a look at the expanded digital releases: A Storm in Heaven: - The 'A Storm In Heaven' 3CD box set features the original album remastered by Chris Potter (co-producer of 'Urban Hymns'). - The second CD features EP tracks and b-sides, while the third is packed with studio sessions, radio recordings and two previously unreleased studio tracks - There's also a DVD featuring the band live at Camden Town Hall in 1992 and some extra unseen footage. A Northern Soul: - The 'A Northern Soul' 3CD box set features the original album, once again remastered by Chris Potter (co-producer of 'Urban Hymns'). - The second CD features all the b-sides from the 'This Is Music', 'On Your Own' and 'History' singles, while CD3 features a plethora of unreleased studio and BBC sessions. - Both the vinyl and CD box sets also feature never-before-seen photos and a 36 page booklet with new interviews. They have a 15% off bundle if you order both vinyl releases, not sure if it comes out cheaper than Amazon UK for North American buyers given Amazon UK remove VAT and I don't know if UMC store does - https://store.udiscovermusic.com/search.html?term=the+verve
  4. Got my record in last night and have to say...this one does NOT sound great. I mean, the songs are good, but both the digital downloads and the vinyl source material seem heavily compressed from a dynamics standpoint. My price at shipping from Amazon Canada was only CDN$18 which isn't too hard to swallow, but I can't help but feel like this will be one I'll be listening to in the car to get to know it, rather than on my main system via vinyl. I have a set of B speakers up by my Yamaha electric piano which I use for background music when we're having dinner, washing up, etc., (basically NOT critical listening) so I suppose this record will still see some rotation...but disappointing to say the least. They took a step in the right direction from Conditions to the second album, but this one has gone completely backwards. Score another one for the Loudness Wars.
  5. Yeah the splatter is exclusive to Amazon.com I don't think we'll see it on Amazon.ca but I could be wrong if they allow an "Import" listing. Yikes on the MSRP, Amazon.ca is usually very good with vinyl pre-order prices coming in quite a bit lower than what the exchange rate would suggest. I got the Eric Clapton 2LP 45rpm all analogue cut "I Still Do" for CDN$36
  6. WHo is going for the $250 bundle with Crash vinyl, Crash blankie, Crash tote bag, Crash pint glass, Crash twin bed sheet set, Crash piano/vocal/guitar songbook, etc., etc? haha. Man I hope we get some really cool bonus materials, this wait has been rather lengthy!
  7. Perhaps MPO consider the project in their queue once the process begins with the first tests being run? If so, the first tests for Crash were run off in mid-March.
  8. The LT30 tie-in with R2T vinyl was awesome, I expect this solo show will be a tie-in for Crash but wonder if it will be in any bundles as it's to raise money for the place he played at. Maybe there will be another LT to tie-in? I guess someone's looking at LT4 right now saying, "sheesh, THIS would have been an amazing tie-in!!" Pressing was approved just over four weeks ago now, hopefully MPO can deliver on time for the supposed July 15th release date.
  9. They've had their PO up right around the same time as this thread started, in fact they're the only retailer that didn't pull their PO. Acoustic Sounds have delisted theirs so it doesn't appear in searches, but the url is still active and has more information than any of the other POs had - http://store.acousticsounds.com/d/115293/Dave_Matthews_Band-Crash-180_Gram_Vinyl_Record That's the same blurb they had for UTTAD so hopefully the full PR is more detailed regarding the source material, don't forget they didn't even get the credits INSIDE the last one correct, they list David Glasser as mastering UTTAD for vinyl when he had nothing to do with it, it was mastered by Ted Jensen from the original analogue tape to 24/96 digital and cut from the digital files by CB. With Crash, the tapes went directly to CB and he cut in an AAA chain. Maybe Crash will list David again, haha.
  10. I have no doubt Bullmoose will carry Crash, but for reasons which will become clear once the full announcement is made (which surely must be any day now) I would jump on the Amazon pre-order...you have until July 15th to cancel so it's really going to be a win-win.

  12. Thank you, it didn't specifcally mention matrices but I must have skipped over Cenobites post! All good.

  14. Can't go into specifics but it's worth pre-ordering, not just because you have until July 15th to cancel but once the listing is fully updated I expect more people will wish they'd got in on this price if it's gone up by the time the listing is fully descriptive.
  15. Acoustic Sounds have put their listing back up, updated probably verbatim from the Sony Legacy press release which should be any day now, confirms gatefold - http://store.acousticsounds.com/d/115293/Dave_Matthews_Band-Crash-180_Gram_Vinyl_Record
  16. Glad to hear it seems to be well done, URP occasionally get things right, lol. Yeah, I grimace when I see the u, my King Animal vinyl was so noisy I ended up importing the EU pressing from Amazon UK, was so much better...whisper quiet and dead centred. Any vinyl-specific info in the credits?
  17. I confirmed with one of the retailers that the listings were pulled at the request of the label until the official announcement has been made which is supposedly coming very soon.
  18. They put the word "audiophile" right on the covers of Ten, Vs. and Vitalogy reissues.
  19. Sweet! I first saw them November 1998, Maple Leaf Gardens...I've seen them quite a few times since then (58 shows overall) but my pace due to increasing ticket prices and getting married and having a family has slowed down. 04.20.02 was the Ottawa show with The Flecktones and the longest ever #41 (http://dmbalmanac.com/TourShowSet.aspx?id=453055761&tid=12&where=2002), so good. It was my 6th show. Very glad they released that performance properly mixed and mastered on the bonus companion CD that came with "Best of What's Around Vol. 1" My shows to date - http://www.antsmarching.org/tour/userindex.php?userid=41278 If you're in NY, have you been to SPAC? Love that venue.
