I wonder why they didn’t replace DWYW on the repress with the Christina version. It was clearly the superior version anyway. 

USPS is literally holding first class, parcel,  and media mail from being sorted to slow down the mail to prove the USPS is inefficient. Friends who are postal workers told me they are being directed to not sort certain types of mail. So items are sitting for days or weeks all over the country. It's a crapshoot. Some stuff gets delivered in a normal time-frame, others not. It's a fucking mess. The GOP is doing everything they can to sabotage the election and they want to privatize the postal service like everything else they've fucked up over the last few decades. 

The RSD Twitter account responded to someone saying there will be some kind of exclusive for indie shops, but no other details given. 

Looks like a single for the new album is coming out tomorrow so I’d keep an eye out for preorders

just a reminder that there's only 1hour-ish left to "officially" order the limited albums... I still stand by that everything will still be available tomorrow (and probably through the weekend) as a "Extended Just For The Fans" type deal.
 
I just made my purchase. Ended up doing both Cardigan singles in the 12" versions and the "Meet Me Behind the Mall" and "Like Running Water Variants"
Very much hoping (and expecting) someone (Target) to have the official cover version available at some point. I'd really love to see her do an indie retail variant with this album.

Hot take, the album should’ve been 3 songs shorter and then she should’ve released the extra songs as a 12” bonus EP.

I'm just baffled that we got 2 CRJ and 2 TS albums in a span of what, 15 months? While there's certainly a lot of bad in the world right now, there's still some good as well.

While I'm admittedly not a huge fan of Swifts music (I think Red and 1989 were her only 'good' albums) I am in love with the covers/variants, and after listening tonight to see how its gonna sound, I might finally get a Swift album on vinyl....gasp.

Im so torn on what to do. I have all the variants on all her albums (minus the red pressing of Red, which I honestly don’t think I’ll ever get). Is now just the time to call it a wash and move on?????

What news to wake up to! I ordered two of the variants: "in the trees" and "in the weeds". And the full album download will be emailed out at midnight! This is the the kind of album release plan I need more often.

I haven't yet... but I've been closely monitoring the stock level. Lost my job thanks to COVID, and because we have a little one on the way we are just playing things safe until I find a new job. It suck sto wait because I love The Elms, but if those stock levels drop you bet I'm going to just jump on it!

To me it makes sense to do the box set. Most likely if you liked their stuff you liked all of it. They could have easily done each album separately, but just doing an all in one for cheaper than the 4 individual albums works for me.
 
also... The Chess Hotel is easily in my top 10 albums of all time. Such a hidden gem in the music world!

It's baffling that it wasn't. Would have beaten the record for most #1 singles on a single album then as well (assuming).
