  1. Weird. UPS has always just dropped off packages everywhere I've lived. Apartment complexes, townhomes, house. Doesn't matter. They drop the package, ring the bell, and get in the truck before they even know if I'm home. And 10 miles roundtrip is nothing. I once had wine shipped to my house that required signature confirmation. Was never home when they tried to deliver. I had to drive 50 miles roundtrip at rush hour to get the stupid wine.
  2. I'm eyeing several of these records but don't know if I want to pull the trigger.
  3. The Suburbs was way better than Neon Bible, but neither is half as good as Funeral. As far as their live show, they are an excellent act.
  4. For those who missed, there is a chance. They did offer refunds to people who wanted to cancel their orders, so maybe some will pop back on the site. The box is beautiful. I wish I had ordered more than one copy.
  5. I also got a shipping confirmation email. But I also had another item in my order. Perhaps they are sending us the other items now and then sending us the box when it comes in. Not getting my hopes up too much here.
  6. They have copies still on the A Great Big Pile of Leaves site. Oxblood and Mint left. Looks like plenty of oxblood. http://agreatbigpileofleaves.bigcartel.com/product/you-re-always-on-my-mind-vinyl
  7. In no particular order: Sigur Ros - In a Frozen Sea Elbow - Complete Box Set Margot and the Nuclear So & So's - Dust of Retreat (blue) and Animal Postdata - Postdata (clear /20) Dredg - Leitmotif (/500) Air France - No Way Down/On Trade Winds (double 10" /500) The Antlers - Hospice (handmade CD before they signed to Frenchkiss) Menomena - Fun Blame Monster (CD with origami, tour special out of 100) Menomena - Friend and Foe (tri-fold, wheel) The National - Cherry Tree EP (original pressing, clear red 10" /500) Radiohead - In Rainbows Discbox Archer Avenue - I was an Astronaut (green vinyl! /50) Hum - You'd Prefer an Astronaut (green and white copies)
  8. I wonder if only half of this album will be good like the first part
  9. I'm torn on these represses. I have the Frozen Sea box set, so I have the albums on vinyl, but not the artwork. Should I shell out the money? I'd probably be more likely to listen to the individual albums. It's kind of a pain to pull out the box set.
  10. Got one green and one black. The jackets weren't in great condition. Ring wear already. Hoping it sounds good.
  11. I happen to think that Core is one of their weakest albums. I do think it makes sense not to want to pay as much for an album I don't like as much. In case you haven't figured it out, music is pretty subjective. I don't like Core as much as their other albums, so I don't plan to pay $45 for it. I am a huge STP fan and have been since the early 90s. Core is a great album, but I don't see it as a $45 album. I've paid a lot less for much better 2x LPs. The Mother Love Bone 2xLP was only about $30 through Soundstage, and that was four full sides of music. This is just three sides.
  12. $45 for Core? That's way too expensive in my opinion. I might pay that much for SLDD or Tiny Music, but not Core.
  13. I didn't notice any pop on any of the sides, although the first few seconds of side A were a bit noisy (but it's a noisy track in general). Is it worth contacting Amoeba about a ding? I doubt they would do much. I know Soundstage once sent me $10 back when I complained about a seam split. Amazon has been really good and quick about replacing anything I've gotten that was damaged. I'm more worried about my Like Clockwork that just came from Bull Moose. Huge bend on the front of the jacket.
  14. Got my copy from Amoeba today, 4 days earlier than it was scheduled to arrive. A ding in the corner that I'm not happy about.
  15. This is my aoty so far. Haven't listened to Sigur Ros yet though.
  16. Which show has floor seats? I thought they all had open floors.
  17. Just got mine. Also says 6/15 for the shipping date. At least there's a chance I'll have it by actual release date.
  18. I would absolutely pay $100 for a 2k-4k venue. But the venue in my city is at leat 10k. Hell no, I'm not paying $100 for that.
  19. I don't think $100 is worth it. The last two times I saw NIN was for less than $100 combined. These prices are outrageous. Don't worry if you missed the presale though. None of the venues will sell out on the regular sale. Not at these prices.
  20. Got my copy today. #73. Looks beautiful. Hope it sounds as good as it looks.
  21. Middle Cyclone was fantastic. Hoping this is as good.
