  1. Trying to plan a trip to England (Liverpool area) a few days after Christmas this year and was wondering if anyone had any good information on cheap flights or websites to find them?
  2. I worked at a Borders that closed around February. It was a pretty interesting experience with people trying to haggle to get a lower price and then yelling at us for marking the barcode, some complained it ruined the resale value. Basically just a lot of yelling. Oh well.

  4. They look so much more mature now and I really think it shows in their music.
  5. I don't know if this has been talked about yet but what do you guys think about DC restarting pretty much all of their titles at issue #1? For a casual comic book fan like myself it might be good. There are a few titles I've wanted to get into for a while but have been just too far behind (one Batman title had need to know information from the 40's and 50's) Just wondering what everyone else thought about the reboot?
  6. I don't know what the OP intended, but I wouldn't call that a political book, but a philosophy book.Political to me implies actual policy rather than ideals. Exactly. No offense to the suggestion, of course. Now, if it was a book on communism and why it worked in some countries and not in others or a book on the policies behind the Cold War from both sides, then I might be interested.
  7. So, now that I'm a graduate and still looking for a non part-time job I've had a lot of time to do some non required reading. I have been on a political book kick lately and was wondering if you all had some recommendations for some interesting reads in that subject? I'm very liberal but down to read anything that can bring up some good points and is thought provoking.
  8. I'll be working...well my shift is from 3-11 so that means that I won't have to work the whole shift!
  9. ...I am throwing a house show in my basement. A few locally known acts as well as Be My Doppelganger will be playing. If you are anywhere near Evansville, IN just let me know if you're interested in coming by and I'll be sure to make your time enjoyable (meaning free beer and new friends!!).
  10. Did anyone happen to catch this last night? I'm not really too interested in the awards, seeing how The Tourist and Alice in Wonderland were up for Best Comedy or Musical, the field is kind of diluted. But I thought Ricky Gervais did an awesome job hosting. He was easily the best part of the night.
  11. Thank you! I was trying to figure out the significance of the pumpkin treats. I need to pay more attention to the boards (scary thought). And the gift wrapping was off the second the package was opened. I was just psyched at the chance to open presents By the way, the Freaks and Geeks book is awesome. You know its a good show when even the script makes you laugh.
  12. Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom......... I'm pretty much at a loss for words, I knew it was controversial but wow.... Has anyone else seen this? I just feel tired and worn out after watching.
