Yeah - i've successfully gotten tests from three different labels. you typically have to strike up some conversation with them first over something and the segue into asking for the goods.

Mine just arrived, packaging looks spot on to me:
I should be able to spin it in a couple hours, I post thoughts on the sound as soon as I can.

This morning while having sex I came twice without stopping in between.
I guess not as impressive as twice in like a minute but it was surprising. In fact my girlfriend was like "Please tell the internet because I feel the need to share but no one in my office is down with that kind of conversation."

Friend of mine is into poly. Personally I don't think I could do it, but seeing him and his poly lovers together it literally just seems like a bunch of friends (male and female) who know each other and are really good friends with each other and also fuck each other. It's essentially like how orgies would happen if you made them way less filthy and more sitcom like.

Can someone just start up a reissue label devoted to nothing but 90s alt-rock stuff? Gin Blossoms, The Wallflowers, The Verve Pipe, etc.

Dammit yeah just give us the full lengths! Gin Blossoms are great. I live right by Mrs. Rita's. It makes me smile every time I go by it!

On a message board which will remain unnamed I often see threads about swinging, most of the stories end in despair. The dudes who are 'into it' are very condescending to those who don't get it, almost like their superiority is a sort of coping mechanism. More often than not these same guys will turn around and say, "I would never marry this girl. It's not that kind of relationship." I think that is a big indicator of the emotions involved. Some dudes just see this stuff on the Internet, convince themselves and their partners that it's a good idea, then are very regretful once it actually happens.
People just have a hard time separating imaginary Internet kink with real life scenarios. I'll gladly watch a gal service a wiener through a hole in a wall, but I'm not about to go buy a fucking DeWalt rotary saw and destroy the hall closet.

It was $110 w/ $12 shipping for a total of $122. It was more than the other Ataris Tests they offered and came with less than the other tests, but I am just happy to have it.

I'm not a big fan of ebay at all. I'm more than a little paranoid about sketchy sellers and/or buyers. So he got to keep the original money you paid for the record and ebay just gave you their money? No harm no foul on either party?
I think ebay can be kind of crappy. He may have also been scammed in that way before (I'd say it could be common with ebay). Just figured you were one of the many. I always try and remember that people don't know who you are online. It's not an attack on your character because he doesn't know you.

jtcohenour reacted to zerohacker in Skateboarding/Skateboard Collecting
Here's my signed deck collection.
Left: Jason Adams. The old skatepark in Erie, PA won a CCS contest so Jason Adams and Keith Hufnagel did a demo. I was talking to Jason afterwards and just asked if I could have his deck and he said "If you take the trucks off, it's yours"
Middle: Jamie Thomas, John Rattray, Jon Allie, Garrett Hill, Lindsey Robertson, Ryan Smith. I used to go to Albuquerque to visit my mom every summer. One year, the Zero team came to town. I was the first in line for the signing at some mall shop, decked head to toe in Zero and Circa gear. Jamie Thomas was the first of the team to come in. He had his complete in his hand and an extra deck. He went to the counter, set up the new deck, and just handed me the old one.
Right: Rodney Mullen, Tony Hawk, Riley Hawk, Kerry Getz, Mike V, Alex Chalmers, Zero Team. Again I was in Albuquerque, and I was at Los Altos skatepark in the middle of the day. A big bus just randomly pulls into the parking lot, and out walked out some of the best skaters ever. It was the Tony Hawk Secret Skatepark tour.I just happened to have my old deck with me and got them all to sign it. I got to talk to Rodney Mullen for a while and it was one of best moments of my life. It was a time before cell phone cameras so i was bummed that I never got a picture with him, but when the DVD came out, I took some screen shots. (I'm the one with the black hair. Ahh, high school)
