Hi guys, I just discovered this wonderful forum and I have seen all the pages of this thread and taken some ideas for my storage area. I am still working on it but meanwhile I want to share some pictures of the current state.
 
I used a cabinet very similar to expedit, but this one was bought in Costco. I don't like my records to be so close to the floor so I decided to make a little table to hold the cabinet 12 inches high. I don't have any woodworking knowledge or background, I am a computer engineer but I had some power tools laying around and watching a few youtube videos gave me some idea of how to build the table. 
 
What I have left to do is make stands for the speakers and also I want to make doors to the cabinets, the doors will be just wooden frames in which I can slip an LP cover attached with hinges to the sides of the cabinet slots.
 
Please excuse my bad English, I am a native Spanish speaker. Any comments welcome!
 

So my white whale finally arrived! 2 years of searching and I luckily managed to grab it. Couldn't wait so I got my gf to send me pics at work.
 
I normally check any discogs emails I get, mostly its the same stuff from my wantlist that I intend to get around to buying. One email came through literally while I was setting the alarm on my phone to go to sleep at shortly before 1am. Then I noticed this right at the bottom, panicked, went to discogs and bought it straight away. Bearing in mind it had last been sold in December 2013 I imagine it would have went by the morning had I not checked.
 
The beautiful kicker, was that I got it for £20, so what like $32? For something I probably would've paid serious money for had it come up earlier. I feel like I have won the lottery. On to the next whale!

I'm really excited for this! But I'm going to hold out until the tour to pick it up along with the new Smith Street album. That's going to be an expensive show for me.

Started working on a PUP collection - easier because they don't have much out yet so I'm starting early. Need to hunt some deep cuts pre-PUP and tests but those may take awhile or not happen at all.
 
I haven't opened the 7" yet.
 
EDIT: Procured two of their pre-PUP Topanga 7-inches and the very first 7-inch they released as PUP once they changed their name. Will update photo when they come in.

After my two year search I may have secured the whale... The harpoon has fixed (discogs purchase), the seller is very reputable, and my payment is now marked as paid.

the highlight of bamboozle was when Trever said "this concludes the punk rock portion of the festival, up next are guys who were their sisters jeans and do their hair like them" something along those lines. it was quite funny

Just attained my white whale today. Crazy story too, one had popped up that was "relatively" inexpensive on Discogs and I quickly moved to secure it. After some quick words regarding condition with the seller, I payed the man and he said he would ship it when he gets home, at this point he hits me back saying that there was some "minor discoloration" on the printed sleeves/jacket and wouldn't sell it to me in its condition. He refunded me and offered to send it to me for just the shipping costs which I promptly accepted.
 
Upon delivery, I ripped it open to find this beauty. Jacket was literally untouched, not a single problem. The printed sleeves did have the slightest discoloration in the upper right corner, but nothing to warrant a free record. Great day. Onto the next whale.
 

If you we're hoping for Big Choice you're obviously disappointed, but there's some great songs on here.
 
Definitely a departure from the classic F2F sound, but I'm really enjoying the album.

Finally got my white whale. Less Than Jake's Pie Tin Set. A friend of the band gave it to me after hearing I was looking for one. I saw one sell on ebay about a month ago for $260. Holy shit.

Christ, this band is harder to collect now than they were in their heyday.
