Let's all agree: the artwork and the title...could have used a second, third and maybe even fourth opinion from neutral sources before they were settled on. But Somewhere City was solid enough that I think we can give them the benefit of the doubt on this. Very confused why every variant has a black A/B, tho, that feels "weird just to be weird" to me.

I was trying to get one at like 12:15 or whenever it showed up but was having shit luck because every time I tried to pick a shipping method, remove one from my cart that was sold out, checkout, etc, it would freeze. Such a frustrating process, so I gave up, mostly because the lady had made brunch and was a little peeved it was taking so long. But then I tried again after we ate (1:05), decided my best luck would be to go to the third page and pick the least appealing color combination and, sure enough, that worked, got the email confirmation from MD and my credit card company even though it froze when I submitted my payment. Like others have said, who knows if that actually means anything and I’ll likely be getting a refund in a bit, but goddammit I tried.

This shit is ridiculous and it would be great if they could just press this normally. That being said, I’m sure as hell gonna try and get a copy this time. Also, would love to see another press of Our Color Green, wonder if they’ve even considered doing that.

Sure does. Took everything I liked about ...Is Doomed and made it better, as well as mixing in some newer sounds that were pretty much all slam dunks.

Low Teens took a bit longer to grow on me than those other two, but eventually it claimed the top spot. Damn, Poison the Well wsg ETID? Sounds amazing. Wish I had caught PTW at some point.

Lots of bands say their latest release is their best, which makes sense in theory, but the people who are consuming them usually have differing opinions. ETID might be the best example of a band for me that actually follows that pattern. I think almost every record they’ve released is better than their last, which is what makes them one of my favorite artists. The only exception would be Hot Damn! > Gutter Phenomenon, imo.
