Those first 100 was used to salvage the pressing. The band had just broken up and plates were already made. I had no real intention at that time to do more than just those run of test presses. When those sold so quickly I decided to finish off the run so for all intensive purposes those are tests.

How can they afford to pull that off? Seems like if they sold all of them they'd break even I did it and it wasn't really that hard to pull off. Not all records have to be $15-20.

Definitely not a 2nd press but its a transition color during one of the color switches. I actually don't have a copy like that so its pretty cool to see it. There's probably only a handful at most that turned out that way.

There was never any talk about releasing Excited at the same time as disappointed? have you talked to them about releasing excited at all? Both have been talked about at one time or another but there was no way I could have done Be Excited at the same time as Be Disappointed. I had basically just started releasing records at that point.

I only got to see these songs live once and that's not enough. I'd be so thrilled to see them played again - even if its just acoustic. I always thought that there were maybe 5 people that liked this album so I'm glad that there has been a change of heart.

I said something like this earlier but its still true - some of my favorite people and Be Disappointed is still one of my favorite releases I've ever done but I wouldn't count on Be Excited getting the vinyl treatment. Belvedere are doing some reunion shows this summer but beyond that's pretty much it and unrelated to the Standoff breakup.
