  1. If my name was drawn from the hat, I'd love Is This It by the Strokes. http://www.amazon.com/This-Vinyl-Strokes/dp/B00005NIE1/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1389064370&sr=1-1&keywords=the+strokes Happy New Year Sec!
  2. At $450 plus customs duty to get the box set to New Zealand, I decided not to pull the trigger on this. Pretty happy to see the post about repressing the full length albums as I was really only after the first two albums. Justin, you may or may not know, but were there any extra slip mats and 45 adapters made? I would be dead keen to get these if at all possible. Or alternatively if there was any interest in these being offered through the band store at some stage? Thanks!
  3. As above, for anyone breaking up an AOF box set, I'd be keen to pick up the 45 adapter and slip mat if you don't want them. PM me! Thanks!
  4. Awesome! I would love The Bled, Pass the Flask from Hot Topic (listening to it right now) Cheers
  5. Uummmm... I guess if you miss out yourself at Hot Topic this champ will be able to sort you out for the low low price of $80! http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-The-Bled-Pass-the-Flask-Vinyl-SUPER-RARE-x-500-flood-alexisonfire-/261343133887?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
  6. Managed to snag QOTSA down here in New Zealand. Really didn't think that would happen...
  7. Another great comp! 1) What was your favorite album of 2013? This is an easy one for me, QOTSA - ...Like Clockwork, this album just blows me away, and I can't wait to see them (again) in March. 2) What was the best live show you attended in 2013? Tough call, it would be between Bloc Party or Norma Jean, both small venues, both great set lists. But I'll go for Norma Jean, great show, met the band afterwards, and took them sailing the next day as they had a double header in Auckland and wanted to get out and see a bit of the city. 3) What was your favorite vinyl variant you purchased in 2013? Bronx/Mariachi el Bronx Live Split - RSD 4) What was your favorite reissue of 2013? Nirvana - In Utero (3xLP) 5) Which of the four records would you like to win? (select one) Mastodon! Cheers Sec.
  8. Reeally want the QOTSA release... I rang a few record stores in New Zealand and none of them could tell me if they were getting any in for. Any ideas? or is there a good sort on here who'd be happy to pick one up for me?
  9. I ordered one copy of the Red / Green HATH... their website says it shipped on the 6th (to New Zealand) so it should be here any day now, though the tracking number supplied doesn't register... I hope it is a) actually the Red/Green pressing and b ) not warped. Never received a download code in the end, lets hope that shows up too or I'll have to message them.
  10. Looks like the clear press may have sold out... Hopefully there will be some copies available at the NZ shows.
  11. Got my copy to keep the set complete. I am still dithering about picking up a copy of the clear from the C&C online store. They are playing in New Zealand in December, can anyone tell me if they are selling the clear pressing at the merch desk at shows?
  12. I am eagerly awaiting a date for the xmas pressing of HATH....
  13. Pretty pumped for this competition!!! Thanks Sec Here goes: 1) Axe to Fall 2) Dark Horse 3) No Heroes 4) Seeing them at the Kings Arms in Auckland, New Zealand in 2010. I hadn't heard much of them and a friend insisted I come along. Amazing show, I was blown away and have been a fan ever since.
  14. Count me in! Will try my luck again
  15. I'm looking to pick up a copy of this album, if you have one you're willing to part with PM me with your price. Cheers!
  16. Another awesome comp! Cheers Sec! My choice is Fall Out Boy - From Under the Cork Tree on translucent light blue vinyl from Hot Topic
  17. It's not the main reason I get excited about owning an album, but it's nice to know if a pressing is limited, how many it is limited to. There are a few albums I have and would like to know how many were pressed. I have done a search on VC, google, deadformat, discogs for the following albums but can't find anything. I thought I would put it out to you guys who may well have some info. The Bronx - IV (Red) Deftones - Saturday Night Wrist (1st Press, 2xLP on Black) Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath (1st Press, 2xLP on Red/Black half and half + planchet-shaped 7") Norma Jean - Wrongdoers (Blue Swirl) QOTSA - Era Vulgaris (3x10"LP) The Shins - Oh, Inverted World (2nd Press, Blue) Smashing Pumpkins - Adore (1st Press) Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Singles (Original Pressing - Black vinyl) Cheers!
  18. Hi Kurt, how did you come across your copy of No Wings to Speak Of? It's a cool looking cover... I assume it's a custom jacket made for a copy of the LP that came with no official jacket? I am watching the test press too... I have a copy on orange, but a test press would be great to have in my collection. Now if only I could get hold of a copy of The Satellite Years
