Gotta say, I love the score. If you go in and expect it to be in any way similar to traditional EITS you're going to be let down. It's a lot more minimalistic than their Friday Night Lights score too and at times you wouldn't even think its EITS. I think of it this way...Prince Avalanche : EITS as The BQE : Sufjan Stevens. Both albums are nothing like the usual output from each, but they're both excellent albums.

Private First Class is excellent. I think I'm more excited for the full band album than the acoustic one.

Nickel Creek - "Why Should The Fire Die" Owen Pallet - "Heartland" Purity Ring - "Shrines" Shipped for $33 and change. All three that I've been delaying picking up, excellent.

I decided it was definitely a good watch. The story is very simplistic and it almost forces you to focus on the visuals and the score, which are phenomenal. If you like Refn's other films like Drive I'd suggest it.

I just watched it and I feel like I need a day to think about it too. The use of color in that film was phenomenal though. Last time I felt like this about a movie was The Master and I decided I really didn't like it.

I can usually at least mildly enjoy comic-book-related movies, but this one was just god awful. Even with nazi ScarJo.

Take Back The Night hasn't grabbed me yet, but neither did Suit & Tie when that first came out.

Got mine in Buffalo. Spinning Photo Album and it sounds good, haven't compared it to the other yet.

Saw Pacific Rim in IMAX yesterday. The scale of everything was pretty damn awesome, especially when you actually find yourself looking up at the giant robots and stuff. There was a little more cheese than I expected in it, but definitely a solid popcorn movie.

Good call. I usually do too, but that's the only time I really use it, just to give a light coat so the seasoning can stick to something other than just ending up at the bottom of the bowl haha.

You know what's awesome on air pop popcorn? Garlic pepper. Spray with a light coat of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter or something similar, sprinkle some of the garlic pepper on, profit.
