  1. The most solid mail day I've had in a long time.  Which also has made me realize that I need to cut back, just a bit....

    First up, NB Germany order.

My second oldies order.  Got everything except for Bad Religion - Suffer.  Can't complain with this lot of record shipped for around $70.

Lucky you on the DJ Shadow. i think you and I were one of the few on here to purchase. I only received one of those. Glad you got it but makes me wonder if your order came after mine did they pull it for yours and give it to you if you ordered first?

  2. My order had 5/6.

    Received:

    Dj Shadow: 4 Track Era

Felt: A Tribute To Rosie Perez

    K. Frimpong & His Cubano Fiestas: Ghana 1977

Hunx & His Punx: Gay Singles (Yellow)

    Jacuzzi Boys: Glazin'

    Did Not Receive:

DJ Shadow: Total Breakdown, Hidden Transmissions from the MPC Era

Happy with what I received. Wanted that DJ Shadow, especially since there were a ton said to be available at order.

Thinking of doing round 2 of orders prior to next big batch in December.

  3. Mine shipped today, got free upgraded shipping to Fedex. 8.1lbs, 15 records ordered...we'll see what ships....

And since everyone is focused on their previous orders, I decided to gamble again with another small order, 54 bucks shipped. Pretty stoked about this one.

Tycoon by No Trigger (Vinyl LP)

The Secret Value of Daydreaming by Julian Lennon (Vinyl LP) (This is a totally underrated record)

Next Stop...Soweto Vol. 3: Giants, Ministers and Makers: Jazz In South Africa 1963-1978 (2-LPs) by Various Artists (Vinyl LP)

Killion Vaults (2-LP) by Orgone (Vinyl LP)

Cali Fever (2-LP) by Orgone (Vinyl LP)

Jungle Struttin' (2-LPs) by The Lions (Vinyl LP) (killer dub/funk)

Everybody's Boppin': Early Northwest Rockers And Instrumentals Vol. 1 by Various Artists

That soweto comp is really awesome. If i did not already own it i would be all over it. May have to go back and check the various section again. Kind of gave up after looking through 5k records at that point....

  4. Mine came today. Fiance opened it to check how many were there and got 5/6. 4 items i ordered said one left when i checked out so figured it was a long shot. The one item i didnt receive said there were 22 copies left at checkout so figured would be guarenteed that one but clearly not.. This sale has been great and huge props to the gentleman who has been going above and beyond to check order statuses and field questions from all of us.

Still a bit pissed i didnt receive the one but what can you do. After everyone takes a breather at oldies and decides to do round two of the sale the first come first serve method needs to be done. I feel bad for the people who ordered before me and still are in limbo and may receive way less than what they should have got based on order number.

  5. This happened ot me with a package jkelly sent to me.

I followed up for weeks on the phone and in person with the post office ultimately culminating in them accusing me of probably taking the package and if it says it's delivered it's delivered so that's the end of it.

It showed up back at jkelly's residence last week 4 months later marked "Return to Sender" in perfect condition.

thanks for the info. it is beyond confusing and very frustrating. i dont understand where it could be. hopefully it works out like yours where it goes back to sender.

the first person i talked to at the post office was rude as hell (what a surprise) said they would call me back and just never did. the guy i talked to today was helpful then said he would talk to mail carrier but if they dont remember it or know anything about it the only thing i can do is go to the authorities to report people stealing mail?  seems like its drastic and if i went  to the cops they would just laugh at me and say they will "look into it"

its crazy that if the post office screws up they do nothing to right the wrong, but not surprised...

  6. so i have two separate packages that were sent to my residence.  both were said to be delivered last week. they were in fact not.  i called the post office and they said they were not at their location.  one package was sent by a user on the board and has been super helpful in giving me all the details on their end but obviously the mystery location of the package is not their fault.

anyone ever had to deal with this before?  if so what did you do?

i am kind of at loss here.

  8. Kings Speech: Finally got around to watching this.  Pretty good though did not feel it was as mind blowingly amazing as alot of people said.

Paprika: after 3 years on my dvd queue on netflix finally got around to watching this.  after a 15 hour work day do not think it was the best choice of movies. trippy and interesting.

Only God Forgives:  Been waiting to watch this and did not disapoint. brutal and minimalist.  Have not found a movie by Nicolas Winding Refn that I have hated.

A Band Called Death: Dig their music. glad to hear the story behind it. good watch.

  9. Got to the N's again and decided to stop.

Picked up all of these for about $50 shipped.
