i waited on the EPs hoping to get a single package like this, very excited! wish the reissue of Violent Waves was a little less limited, still need that one personally, but the reissue of the first two LPs the other day suggests they might keep re-pressing things even during this hiatus. legendary band, the door will always be open for their return fanbase-wise ❤️

ah ok yeah i misread, 10am vs pm oops. that said, it's possible leftovers ≠ un-claimed obis and we see two separate sale offerings. or maybe T&N pushes things back a day for this, figure UOV will handle it.

would seem to be the timeline is 5pm PST cutoff for FF obi-holders to pay for their "claimed" copies, and any unclaimed obis + leftover inventory goes up 10pm PST that same day. unless you're referring to a different announcement, not entirely sure of the antecedent here

this is even funnier than when they gave edgy interviews about not being religious anymore, as if anyone had mistaken them for bible thumpers in at least 15 years

between Unoriginal making their Furnace Fest entirely exclusive pressings instead of just exclusive variants and today's Underoath NFT/vinyl monstrosity, it seems like they're really leaning into the scarcity/hype/bespoke aspect of vinyl releases. i know it's not entirely their fault with how stingy Capitol is with licensing, but it's kind of a bummer that this is the way they've pivoted... been thinking this for a while and this has me feeling it even more so: maybe vinyl isn't a bubble that bursts but a hobby that just morphs into something very expensive and frustrating at the point of sale lol.

songs are solid but the vocal production is butt. generic lazy pitch tightening killing one of the more charismatic voices in emo, and not for the first time 😕

chorus feels about right but there's some very shoddy/obvious pitchtuning on the verses that just kinda mutes the timbre of his voice, which imo was one of the band's selling points. reminds me of when Further Seems Forever did Penny Black and Chris' voice was kind of unrecognizable due to production choices

replying to myself here in case it helps anyone else looking. while Google results have been very thin, these seem to be popping up on Discogs from US record shops. so i'm guessing these are trickling into US stores now. good place to check if you've been looking for one for cheaper than say a HHV import. got mine from a shop in KS via Discogs for $35 shipped!
