  1. This is getting widely repressed in standard black. Amazon has copies for $23.49 for those who were complaining about the variant prices.
  2. Looks like Yellow & Maroon is gone but they've added "Moon Phase" (Translucent Brown & Opaque Sage) /1000. Also, the standard black is showing up as $25 for me.
  3. Email update: "2020 was a difficult year for everyone and we are so incredible sorry that the delay in the vinyl has only added to that. Gold Rush, the pressing plant, had everything you could ever imagine happen that pushed the press date on our vinyl back. COVID infections, machines breaking, bacteria in the water and raccoons in the factory are only just a few of the things that happened in 2020 to delay. However, it looks like we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The pressing plant started pressing last night and has one machine specifically dedicated to pressing our vinyl. Because they are US-based and so is our fulfillment team, we do not need to wait for all vinyl to be pressed to start shipping and instead will be sent on a weekly basis. This way orders can be shipped out quickly. The pressing plant is starting with Lost in the Sound of Separation so if the only vinyl in your order is that, you’ll receive it first. They’ll then press Define The Great Line then They’re Only Chasing Safety and finally, the box sets of all 3. If you ordered more than one record the order will be held until all items in the order are pressed. It will take a few days to know when the first batch is shipping but as we get more info, we will make sure to send more updates. We are so sorry to bring one of the many 2020 headaches into 2021 but are doing everything we can to get this corrected." They also included an image from the plant. The records are definitely standard clear with black smoke. In the photo it's a copy of LITSOS and they are holding the jacket and, interestingly, what appears to be an insert or sleeve with the artwork from the deluxe CD.
  4. I truly don't mind a long wait (especially for reissues) as long as records turn out sounding like they ought to. I have to admit, I'm even more nervous about the quality, now.
  5. Per their Facebook: "I keep getting info from the plant that they are about to do something so we're waiting to have real info. First it was they are shipping early Jan. Early jan it became actually we're starting pressing early Jan. Then they said sorry but dont worry we're starting pressing next week. Next week still nothing. I keep waiting to have an update I can stand behind. I dont want to lie to anyone. The latest update was they are starting pressing Monday. Monday they tell us the pressing machine is down but we are the next project when its fixed and wont say if its a one day fix or a week or whatever, literally no info. Basically, they keep dangling so little info its going to piss everyone off. I hope to have photos and videos of them proving they started this week and then sending it to everyone. This situation 100% sucks and I wish I had real upates for all of you." "It's brutal and embarrassing. We tried a new company based in Austin to support a local business and it has been delay after delay although they swear they are starting pressing this week."
  6. Was unfortunately pretty disappointed in Neon, so I'm very cautious about this, but the new song is decent and I like aspects of the other two they've released.
  7. FINALLY got this in today and was actually pleasantly surprised at how good the vast majority of it sounds. Pride & Humility sounds rough, as expected, but I didn't encounter as much IGD as anticipated otherwise. Pretty happy with this release. Also, I really like what these guys have done with the retrospective essays they've included in their represses. This one in particular was very interesting.
  8. August Burns Red "Thrill Seeker" R6799936CT
  9. Yeah I really like the Pale Horses deluxe, it's a treasure, but the 1x33 presentation on the (albeit really fun-looking) noisy color-chaos variant leaves a lot to be desired and I would pick up a 2x45 without a second thought.
  10. Sure, but that one is still just 33rpm spread across 3 sides with an etching.
  11. Okay fine, I listened to side A of my Burnt Toast pressing and decided to order this lol. Going with black again for the sake of quality, but I eagerly await photos of the colored variant. Good luck to all who ordered it.
  12. The variant mockups are gorgeous and I love what they did with the packaging! Need to bust out my current copy and decide if it's worth upgrading to this 45, but I'm kind of doubting I will unless my current pressing sounds worse than I remember. It's a solid album all things considered but I don't know that I'd shell out the kind of cash I would for CFUTF and Brother Sister.
  13. Uhhh so I bit and picked up the mastered MP3s for $6... they're showing up for me as 128 kbps?? Can anyone else confirm that this is the sad reality, or did I download the wrong thing? Edit: I emailed them about it and they replaced the download with 320, so that's nice. Sounds worlds better obviously.
  14. Nooooooo how did I miss this again?? That's three times I've missed it, with the original release, the other day, and then today...
  15. Was hoping for 30 but expecting 35. I feel like I shouldn't but dumb enough to spend $40 on this... but 2x45...
  16. It'll be on toothandnailrecords.merchnow.com but there won't be a page for it til it goes live.
  17. Available tomorrow (10/30) at 11AM PST / 2PM EST. "Tooth & Nail Records, in partnership with Showbread, are extremely proud to announce a shocking, blood-soaked vinyl pressing of their mainstream debut album No Sir, Nihilism is Not Practical on 2 LP Black & “Red Bloodpool” vinyl [561 copies total]. . Collaborated from-start-to-finish with frontman Josh Dies, this Deluxe Edition set features: A 2 LP, Capitol Records remastering, cut specifically for vinyl at 45 RPM for optimal spazzing-out. A lengthy retrospective commentary written by Josh Dies called “Manic, Defiant, and Aesthetically Imbalanced”. A Ryan Clark-approved Gatefold Packaging restoration of the weird and wild cover artwork, sans the title font text for optimal displaying. Shrink wrap! Co-Produced, faithfully-restored, and stabbed to death by the nutcases at Unoriginal Vinyl"
  18. Aha! I missed that. Unfortunately that also means they're cramming 25 minutes onto side B....
  19. Looks like it's just a repress of the same '14 disc. Also I just noticed there's 1000 of the Solid State variant and 1000 of the ABR store variant. Think I'll try my luck.
  20. Hmm... not sure how I feel about the live one. The annoying thing about this livestream trend is there's no way to hear a sample song for free and know what you're getting into. However, they did do Your Little Suburbia Is In Ruins, A Shot Below the Belt, and The Seventh Trumpet on their live album Home and they're fine performances but I'm not sure I'd ever need them on vinyl. Side note: Solid State is currently running their Halloween vinyl special where they offer a catalog record for half price. I've got my eye on a few and was hoping this would line up so I could pick up Thrill Seeker and a half price record today with combined shipping, but today's offering appears to be a Phinehas album I have no interest in. Not sure if I should chance seeing if I can make this pressing of 1000 last til tomorrow on the off chance there's a record I want or if I should just buckle up for paying multiple rounds of exorbitant shipping.
  21. Just saw the newsletter myself. Not digging the alternate artwork (the original is a classic and feels more true to the theme IMO), but glad to have another shot to pick this up and complete their early discography. I still hold some of the songs off this record in very high regard. Wondering if this will just be a repress of the mediocre RSD '14 pressing or if they'll be doing a whole new pressing via their recent collaborations with Unoriginal Vinyl. Guess we'll find out when they post it tomorrow, as they've been very vocal when the pressings are anything to brag about. But either way, I won't kid myself, I'm probably going to buy it.
  22. I listened to my vinyl copy a while back and it didn't hold up as well as I expected it to, so I'd be super down for a new pressing.
  23. Apparently I deleted the email, but when they were announcing that there was only 24 hours left to buy the vinyl, they mentioned a November ship date.
