Am I reading it right that Menorah/Mejora is mashing nearly 28 minutes of music onto one side in order to etch a logo onto the b-side?

I was listening to the deluxe editions of Brother, Sister and It's All Crazy this week and marveling over how incredible they sound and how grateful I am that one of my favorite bands truly put in the effort to deliver products like these. Very cool and unsurprising that these fine folks are going above and beyond to take care of their fans with the fixed variant.

Yes. I have all of them and they're absolutely top tier, among the best sounding records I own. Clarity, dynamic range, and presence are all top notch. Well-pressed and arranged across the two discs with care for minimal inner groove distortion. All of mine are the black variants, so I can vouch for those and how clean they sound, your mileage may vary on the colored variants. I know they're not cheap but they're worth every penny based on sound quality alone, and then you get top notch packaging on top of that. Seriously, I wish all of my favorite albums got this treatment.

Oh man. I'm going to exercise some restraint here, but the truly tempting part is the inclusion of those fantastic demos I used to stream on repeat on PureVolume back in 2006. Wonder if any of the extra material will get a digital release.

Yes, the difference is massive. These are some of the best sounding records I own. Detail, dynamic range, and presence are all far above their 33 counterparts.

Would be really cool if they did an all B sides/EP/extras box too at the end.

At the request of @iamjordanbanks, who loaned me his copy, I ripped & scanned the Nice And Blue (Pt. Two) 7". My YouTube channel has both the A- and B-sides, but I thought I'd directly link the more exciting of the two above: "In A Sweater Poorly Knit (Demo Version)"
    24/96 download + hi-res scans + lineage/info: https://jenripsvinyl.com/rips/nice-and-blue-pt-two.html
EDIT: I published this at nearly 4am and upon waking up in the morning I noticed the speed was ever-so-slightly off. Maybe the belt on my turntable needs to be replaced! Regardless, I've updated the files in the MEGA folder, changed the website to reflect the differences, and uploaded new videos to YouTube. The above is the new video, but if you downloaded the files prior to whatever time it says I edited this post, you should re-download

Trying to decide if the nostalgia and collecting aspects for ISSWS are worth the inevitable $30 price tag. It's a good album with a lot of memories attached but I'm not sure the last time I listened to it.

Got mine in today. Haven't had a chance to listen yet but the packaging is great and the sea blue color turned out nicely.

I did see that in my email not long after I posted. The only thing I halfway buy from it is "complicated licensing reasons", but if that's the case then they should really just lead with that ("hey guys, sorry, we were only allowed to press X many and decided the best way to do this was FF") instead of some weird sidetrack about how people who buy vinyl online apparently don't support musicians (...?) and an accusation that anyone who doesn't understand why a release would be eternally limited to one festival doesn't want other people to have nice things. I generally like what I see of the UOV guys and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because they probably get a lot of rude correspondence, but that answer rubbed me the wrong way.

Grabbed a black set of course. Will definitely try to catch them on the road, I've seen them a few times and they're always great. I was talking to a friend the other day about the concept of "favorite band" and realized that these guys have probably put out the most consistently excellent work over the past 21 years. Where a lot of other bands put out great stuff and then nosedive, these guys have managed to keep it up and keep fresh. Will definitely miss them.

New tune sounds big, I like it. These guys were almost completely missable for nearly a decade, but I think Delta Kream was a good experience for them and you can feel the influence on this track. Hope this is a solid record.
