  1. Is it just me or, the first song off the new record sounds a lot like later day Earth? It's still good, but it's very very Earth-ish. I'm not dissing them or nothing, and i know that there is no point for them to do F # A infinty over and over, but it felt like they ripped off a page from ol'Dylan's book here......The rest of the record was stellar, the last song, is very good.
  2. Glad i passed on it, then, my old copy will do just fine. 20$ u.s plus shipping to Canad'uh and currency exchange was not worth it, at all.... I also have it on C.D so i guess i'm pretty much covered in that area.
  3. Will be at the Boston show once again, saw them the last time around and it was stellar, so not a problem at all to make the drive from Montreal once more. Hopefully they will have the usb keys thing again. I'm also wondering what Topshelf have in store regarding toe, and that "someting else we might be interested in"...
  4. i just found the live vocals to be ...ummm not as good as the recorded one... music-wise this is top notch stuff......

  7. missed out on all variants, now i am pissed at my self for missing this one, hopefully it will pop up on discogs sometime soon and will be able to get it for a decent price....
  8. oh yes, Motorpsycho is another favorite of mine too, great tunes, great band, great records, awesome artwork. Real shame that they rarely tour in north america, and even bigger shame is the price of their L.P. online, its incredibly expensive... saw a 7 inches for sinful windborne the other day and asking price was 300$. For a 7 inches!!!!
  9. Huge Isis fan as well, had the luck of seeing them live 4 times ( 2003-04??, 2006, 2007, 2010 ) i was also there for the last show ever. Hell i even have a tatoo of a lyrics from Oceanic on my back. Great job on the chart too, looks clean, complete and easy to follow..The graphic designer in me approves 100%.
  10. White 2 and Monoliths are good starting points, Oracle too. They have so much stuff to plow through, it's a bit confusing at first. This music and band especially is made to be enjoyed in hi-fi soundsystems, at very loud volumes if possible, sure headphone work too, but i feel that through soundsystem speakers, the music feel more like a very warm blanket ( a very dark one too) , it litterally fills the room. I once used Sunn0)))'s music at very loud volume to annoy some very douchy club going assholes living upstairs from my appartment, they used to wake up my kid at night with their shitty club music and loud noises, after 2 days straight Of Sunn's Discography on repeat at very loud volume ( i was away with the wife and kid ) , i can say that i never heard a beep again since. Totaly worth the letter i received form my landlord afterward..So there you go, Sunn's music can also be used as a weapon against douchy assholes... Bonus right here!!! Other drone bands to check out : Earth ( early stuff is drone, new stuff is more Morricone-esque ), Valeri Fabrikant, Thrones, Also to keep on topic, i ordered this album the minute it poped online, and i can't wait to blast it at very loud volume...
  11. They all look stunning. The whole set is just perfect. Good Job Topshelf Dudes, it was Definitely worth waiting 6 months for this...... Edits: for my terrible spelling.
  12. Yeah, got a shipping notification on friday, and the box showed up this afternoon.
  13. Got my box set today!! Thank you Topshelf records!!! It's Stunning! Got number 34/207.
  14. By the way topshelf dudez, in the mass email updates for the box set, For Long Tomorrow didn't have a download code.
  15. No dvd's, they had the future is now on c.d . As for the records,i think the variant are all black ones, not sure, since i didnt pick any, but my friends did, and if i remember right, it was the least rare ones, they had only For long tomorow and The Book and the 10" of The Future is Now, 2 shirts designs ,a hoodie, a bag to put your vinyl in, a tour poster, the USB key and i think that's it...
  16. Dude, this band has come all the way from japan, not New York, Miami or some other place, Japan.....shit like that is expensive, 5 guys plus a crew, gear ect..... they are not making any money out of that tour, or at least they told me that they are not expecting too, so man, i mean, 20$ is not so bad for a shirt, 30$ for a hoodie is not the end of the world either, that stuff is expensive to press,i bet you payed a lot more for some shitty bands vinyl at some point, and hoodies and shirts are way more expensive than that in shitty shops like american apparel and other sad places like that... also the usb key thing is 30$ for all nine shows, plus it's exclusive, limited and fucking rad, ain't that the kinds of words that get this board crazy when it's applied to records, or other collector items??
