  1. Haven't heard of Bravely Default. Is it similar to Fire Emblem? I've actually been replaying Sacred Stones. Forgot how much I love the series and how much replay-ability it has.
  2. Yeah, just ordered one of the extra first press of their album Ships. Might just combine it with that.
  3. Oh wow, thought the swirl thing he posted was an EU exclusive or something. Will probably have to pick that up then! Still jonesing for one of those splatters though.
  4. well thats in two weeks. I can wait. Have no worries about it selling out.
  5. Got an email saying that this is getting pushed back: "As soon as the record is done, hopefully within the next month if everything stays on our schedule, we will send it to be mixed and mastered and then we will be shipping it along with whatever IndieGoGo package you purchased. This process is gonna take another couple of months unfortunately." Kind of expected it to take longer than anticipated. Still disappointed though
  6. Futures is the best JEW album. Kinda hard for any band to measure up to cover any song off of it.
  7. what?!?!? My favorite pop punk band! That sucks! Hopefully they have a lot of tours scheduled and maybe a new album before they head out
  8. Hoping they split up that /300 variant soon. It's been almost a month and they haven't even sold 100 of those big bundles.
  9. Just started reading this book at work today. Been compared to House of Leaves without getting easily lost, as many do in that book. But this book is incredibly well written. Was hooked about 5 pages in. Definitely recommend.
  10. Whether it be the band that never got the recognition they deserved and as a result had to move on. The band that had a long career and decided to call it quits. Or for any other reason, we all have those bands we wish could come back. Two I can think of off the top of my head: Keep Me Conscious: A band from Massachusetts my friend and I found, where this song above was playing during a montage for the web series Happy Tree Friends (which is one of the most disturbing things I have watched). But anyway, they released three EP's before calling it quits. They were never signed, and don't think they even toured outside of the northeast. But they only wrote about 15 songs, and had a full length under the name Cherry S/T. But definitely give these guys a chance. Recommended Tracks: Thicker Than Blood, See You at the Bridge, Cars Collided, Pieces. Common Crooks/In Oceans: An old friend exposed me to these guys. They had just released their Earthwalker EP when I listened, and I had it on repeat for weeks. They changed their name to Common Crooks a couple months later (perhaps to not be associated with the Agraceful song, but who knows). They were never signed either. Released the five song EP as In Oceans, and another five songs separately as singles under the new name Common Crooks. The last two songs they released are not as solid as their other songs, maybe having to do with one of their singers leaving, but they are still very good. These guys are the jam, would do anything to bring them back. Recommended Tracks: Shallow Lungs, Straight Laced Syntax, Moon Teeth, Blue Champagne. Now what about everyone else? What band(s) do you wish would come back?
  11. Haha no worries. And with that sale CYLS is having, I will probably just have to immerse myself in their discography. I don't usually read the comments or anything. I just use it because it seems to be the biggest music review site, and so many people use it that it's easy to find impressions of albums that aren't usually talked about on other sites.
  12. Didn't realize I made it sound like that. I just always use Sputnik when looking for good bands and it seems that all of Empire! Empire!'s stuff on their is greatly reviewed, but the people on there who even loved their older stuff seem to think this album is just ok. I haven't listened to much of their older work, so I guess I will have to get to listening and see for myself
  13. Damn. Didn't know the books got delayed. Guess I'll be waiting for awhile as well.
  14. Guess you really like this band, haha. And I don't think anyone has said it's bad. Just that it's a major step down from their previous works.
  15. Definitely not judging it before listening. Guess it's just different for some people.
