  1. If it works, then that's pretty sweet. And yeah I'm thinking of root apps that I would use and I can't really think of one that I would miss.. Maybe it's not all bad. But yeah, fully set on GS7 Edge. That huge battery has me excited.
  2. Why not But on a serious note, shaving is boring as shit, so I always either listen to podcasts or watch a video while I shave. More listening to it than watching, since I don't want to ruin my face, hah. But I notice that I get my phone wet a bit more than I'd like. Luckily my Galaxy S5 is also water resistant, so I'm good. Will be glad to have that with the GS7/GS7 Edge.
  3. Had a brief moment of insanity. Still on team Android. Did a lot of pros and cons and I have too much invested into Android with paid apps. It would be a hassle to leave it all behind. I had even asked on Reddit and some people gave good answers, while others kind of seemed to insult my intelligence, which was a bit off-putting. But there's always people like that in both the Android and iOS community. Back on track now. I've really taken a liking to the GS7 Edge. It's a beauty. The glass body probably makes this device feel incredibly premium and it looks beautiful as well. Also AMOLED is the way to go. I've seen outside tests of brightness and the LCD screens are laughable. Do not want. Probably not TOO bad, but it's a drawback. Water resistant is a huge plus for me as well as I have gotten my phone wet a bit in the past when I'm shaving. Plus it's just an awesome feature. Only thing that kills me currently is no root. Been thinking about trying to ask T-Mobile if they can possibly hook me up with an Exynos model, but I'm not sure if that's possible. Also curious on signal speeds with an International model here in the U.S.. Although T-Mobile is well-known for being a carrier that has root, so I'm kind of hoping something will happen soon.
  4. Might go back to iOS. I just don't understand how damn laggy Android devices can be. It's ridiculous that I have to root and flash custom ROMs to remedy that. At first it was fun because of all of the bonus features, but I almost never use any features that custom ROMs provide. Mainly do it so the device can run smoothly. I was thinking of going with a Nexus device but I don't even like the Nexus devices. Not to mention I can't get them through my carrier, so I have to pay it in full. No expandable storage is the biggest gripe I see so far, but I doubt I'll run out of 128 GB any time soon. I don't know; I'm very conflicted.
  5. Damn dude, it sounds like a solid device then. I've been kind of leaning towards a GS7 because even though I mainly see the G5 as modular so I could repair them and stuff, I'll probably upgrade devices in about two to three years anyways. I just really hope T-Mobile one gets root. That's all I want and mainly what's holding me back. Also that whole Knox thing is annoying. On a related note, I'm back to TouchWiz and God, I forgot how laggy it is compared to CM13.
  6. Please don't ban me, I like this website Also shenanigans, square up homie
  7. I bring to you: the oldest VC bump in the history of VC bumps.
  8. So are we all starting to bump old posts? Is this the new thing here? I'm down.
  9. I don't have this album though and it's my favorite of theirs. Will probably purchase, but just for the pin, really. Edit: Purchased.
  10. Phone is working again. For now. So over it. And as for Xperias, I've heard they're good but apparently they have a heat issue. I think this is because of the Snapdragon 810 processor. I heard this processor causes issues on some phomes, but on some it didn't. But what Rambo has recommended is what I would recommend as well.
  11. Wow, I'm a bit surprised then. Although good that the screen is a lot better. How's the battery life been so far? Also I'm a bit pissed off. I can't use my phone anymore because the IMEI is ruined now. I guess the douchebag I purchased it from didn't pay his bill with the phone and then sold it to me on eBay. This was a year ago now, so I don't think I can get any help from eBay themselves, but I want to ruin this guy for doing this bullshit. Now I definitely need to get a new phone and I probably can't do anything else with this phone. Everything is working okay on it (except that screen issue). So yeah, that happened. The weird part is that this happened yesterday. I had called my mother and she didn't answer but as soon as I hung up, the signal just completely cut off. Eventually called T-Mobile and they let me know the IMEI was blocked. I shut it off and did my business and randomly a couple hours later I wanted to listen to music off of it and when I turned it on, I started receiving texts and stuff. Don't know how that happened. And again the same thing happened tonight, but my mother called me and the signal shut off. I had called my sister before that and nothing had happened. I have no idea what's happening, but it's bullshit.
  12. That sounds awesome, man. Is it night and day difference from your previous phone? I haven't gotten the chance to play with a flagship.
  13. Definitely interested in this one. Didn't even know they were making new stuff.
  14. Yeah, I have an /800 but have never heard of a /180. This is weird.
  15. Haha, it does annoy me when I want to save battery and lower the brightness but... I can't. And yeah, from what I've looked up apparently it's an AMOLED issue. When they get old or damaged by drops, this happens. And I've wanted to replace it myself, but it costs as much as a used S5, so screw that. Also fixing it would unglue the sides, so I believe it won't be water resistant anymore. Unless I manage to glue it back very well, I guess. I've seen replacement videos and it looks like a hassle. I would ask for a replacement, but I bought this off a random seller on eBay. So it lasted me a year, pretty much lol. Haha, I hear you. I like messing with all that stuff now though. And yeah, the only "Friend" I want is the DAC. I don't care about that cam module, however I do like that it gives something like 1400mAh extra. Pretty sweet. But I don't know, depends on how much each module is. Haven't even checked prices.
  16. Also, this is what my phone does. Not too bad, but annoying.
  17. And speaking of audio, I really hope LG actually pushes that DAC for the G5. Apparently it's not for sale in the U.S. currently. Only in some other country right now.
  18. Oh, I started messing with that CM equalizer and it isn't too bad. XDA on Twitter recommended Dolby Atmos or something and I didn't like it all that much. Couldn't mess with the equalizer all that much. I didn't use it before since I just listen to music on Poweramp and that just has it all. But I'm glad I can now set up YouTube and Spotify audio to be a bit better.
  19. It's funny because I see the ice cream man pass by and I see the Choco Taco sticker but I never get it. I'm getting it next time.
  20. Dude, nice! Man, maybe I should try something like that more often haha. I hope you get that thing soon. Sucks that your old phone was all bugging out on you, but it shouldn't matter much longer! My license finally arrived yesterday so I'll probably head to pick up a new phone today. Will try out the S7 Edge to see how it is in person. Probably run a couple games and such.
  21. Yeah, just save up and buy a new one. It sounds like a lot of hassle for a repair. Unless it's relatively cheap, then go for it. I got a 43" Vizio at Walmart for around $350. Also 4K TVs are becoming a thing, so I would save for one of those. Will probably give my TV away to my sister and get a 4K myself. Edit: Okay, I didn't realize how old this was.
