  1. How is he on Kess' side? Kess (tied with elasalle) is/was the worst member of this board and pretty much the prime example of everything Satan is talking about.
  2. I don't think that'd be beyond the writers either. I think I'd like that, actually.
  3. O shit Everybody strap on your seatbelts and enjoy the ride
  4. Fucking insane. It was great. Bouncing Souls and the Vandals had a little trouble with mic levels but other than that there were very few hiccups. As expected, Descendents and NOFX blew me away. I'm sunburnt as hell, too.
  5. It is. I used Uber to and from San Manuel but Lyft for my shorter trips because I had all those $10 credits. Lyft saved me from missing my train back to Union Station and from having to walk a mile and a half through a particularly weird part of Little Tokyo.
  6. Waiting to board my flight now. Thanks guys for all your help! Anybody else going to be at It's Not Dead?
  7. Just looked at their website and I'll definitely be considering this as well. Super Shuttle may be the best way to get back to LAX on Sunday.
  8. Good point, it would make sense for Uber to restrict LAX to their more expensive services. I hadn't thought of that. Still though, UberX is going to cost me at least $40 (and that's if the discount works) which is twice as much as the train -> bus route and would probably take about the same time.
  9. Yeah, I installed Lyft the other night and I've got 10 free rides up to $10, which is probably only a couple of blocks but I'm sure I'll put those to use during the weekend. Maybe I can have ten different drivers take me to Long Beach for free. I don't think there's any way for me to know in advance what the price will be for Uber vs. Lyft so I'll probably just be comparing once I'm on the ground. All that being said, it looks like the FlyAway -> Union Station -> San Bernandino is my cheapest option at $16. Thanks for the tip, CVHX!
  10. Looking at Zipcar, it probably would be cheaper. Unfortunately I'm only 18.
  11. Hey guys. As you may have seen in my sale thread, I'm going to LA for the weekend to catch the It's Not Dead fest in San Bernandino. Now I've always been a seat-of-the-pants kinda guy, but I didn't plan this very well at all. My flight should land at LAX (unfortunate, but can't be changed) well before noon on Friday if it leaves Seattle at 7am, so I'm hoping I won't get hit with Uber's surge prices but I have no idea how that works. Anyway, I'm staying in at a hotel in Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga which is quite a ways from LAX, but this website told me UberX should cost me between $70 and $90. I'm hoping to apply my first ride discount (up to $30). Taking the bus would be considerably cheaper, but also take twice as long and I'd probably (definitely) get lost along the way. The rest of my travel needs will be short-distance (going to Scripps, etc.) so I will probably be best off using UberX for those. What I really need advice on is the ride from LAX to my hotel (and back, on Sunday night) - let me know if you have a better idea! Also worth saying: If anyone is going to It's Not Dead and planning on passing through Ontario/Rancho Cucamongo/San Bernandino and wants to carpool, please let me know! I would be more than willing to pitch in some cash for gas, and I promise I'm a good guy. (People tell me I smell good, too.)
  12. Bad Religion, Life on a Plate, Rancid and Punk-O-Rama are sold. Let's make some more deals! OFF! is pending. More deals posted.
  13. 40oz is better (I would say this is subjective but it's really not), but less popular among Sublime fans/casual listeners who would shop at Newbury. The reason 40oz sold so quickly is because of its profit potential. I would wager that the majority of orders for this press were for multiple copies for resale, followed then by dedicated fans like (most of) us who wanted a copy for personal listening, followed then by casual fans of Sublime or those Hot Topic shoppers who hang splatter records on their walls, or the demographic I would call the Crosleys. The self-titled is widely available for cheap, so even the limited pressings do not command the same prices that 40oz does among collectors. Casual fans of Sublime are not likely to buy 40oz, especially not at inflated flipper prices. This is true even considering Newbury's terrible pricing model. These are the reasons that Newbury took so long to sell their copies of Sublime while 40oz sold so quickly.
  14. Give it a fucking rest, you're all wrong on some level. hoosier shouldn't speak so flippantly about rape, museummouth and Barnaby Jones shouldn't be the PC police (you're not going to change the world on a fucking vinyl forum), Rezqua and Doman, just chill out. Fucking hell. Let this thread get back to that Flaming Lips bullshit.
  15. Yep, that's the Millencolin, Bad Religion and Rancid for $50 shipped (in the US, of course). The Rancid self-titled is the first one from 93.
  16. Hey guys, next weekend I'm heading down to LA for the It's Not Dead Fest and I figured I'd thin the herd a bit so I have some extra cash on hand. These are all for sale at or less than my cost, so shipping will be $4 per mailer and I can probably fit three safely and securely per mailer. Please buy more than one item to make this worth my time. Don't buy single 7"s since I don't have any mailers. Willing to make deals in bulk. Probably will throw in some of those FAT 7"s if they don't get sold. They're all NM and have been played sparingly. You know me. 12 INCH $4 American Cheeseburger/Religious as Fuck - Split (Mixed color) $14 Bad Religion - No Control (Hot Topic Blue) $15 Masked Intruder - M.I.
