D/R/T was initally recorded as one song. Hence why on the back of the lateralus CD there is a connecting line to all the songs. They do not fit natively on a LP and the track list was reordered as such.
I kinda feel like this thread is slightly irrelevant given that there is a website for this that is considered to be the go-to source.
