  1. Are any other Essentials subscribers getting emails asking if you are willing to swap this months release (Buena Vista Social Club) for store credit? I got one a few days ago and now I have one that says they will give me store credit plus 20%. Looks like it has been oversold like they (used to?) do with airline seats.
  2. https://www.discogs.com/forum/thread/787122 What happened with Emetic Records is a bit of a mystery. They told Discogs that none of the items they released were authorised by the rights holders (direct quote from Discogs management in the above thread). However, at the same time they were telling Discogs this, they were still selling some of these items in their own store. Also, some bands sold Emetetic records releases while they were on tour, so the bands must have considered them to be legit.
  3. It's not cheap, but it's up at Amazon UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Light-Shine-Limited-Clear-Swirl/dp/B089LYGVTF
  4. Haven't seen this posted on here. $50 / £40 4LP set: https://anthrax.com/persistence-of-time-30th-anniversary-edition/ I do like this record, but I hope they have done something a bout the terrible plonking bass sound on it. It's probably beyond a mere remaster, though.
  5. That's a shame. Dark Operative being unable to get records pressed would have been a tiny upside of all this.
  6. March 27th https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mould-180g-Clear-Vinyl-VINYL/dp/B084W685WY/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=bob+mould+vinyl&qid=1583423262&sr=8-1
  7. All five Sugar releases (Copper Blue, Beaster, File Under Easy Listening, Besides and the Joke Is Always On Us, Sometimes) along with three solo albums (Bob Mould / Hubcap, The Last Dog And Pony Show and Silver Age) are all being reissued by Demon Records in the UK on clear vinyl except for Silver Age which will be on silver vinyl. Hubcap and TLDAPS haven't been pressed since their original release and copies go for a pretty penny. The rest are ten a penny.
  8. For any crazy Europeans, it's available in the UK store too: https://store.rhino.co.uk/uk/music/exclusives/1970-the-complete-fun-house-sessions-15lp-box-set.html
  9. UK: https://the-kundalini-genie.bandcamp.com/album/11-11 USA: https://littlecloudrec.com/collections/frontpage/products/the-kundalini-genie-11-11-pre-order Sounds like The Stone Roses to me, but I'm not an SR fan, so what do I know.
  10. European Nuclear Blast exclusive: https://www.nuclearblast.de/en/products/tontraeger/vinyl/lp/lamb-of-god-lamb-of-god-red-vinyl.html
  11. At least some of these have been shipped. Mine was sent out in a cruciform mailer with two 'stiffeners' that were smaller than the sleeves and nothing else. Significant sleeve damage. Expected better for a £40 record. Would expect better with a £1 one.
  12. Coming in April: https://sleepmakeswaves.bandcamp.com/album/sleepmakeswaves-ep-trilogy?fbclid=IwAR1aKAqW8axRN7VXMZdxuLVMsKkEnXrjNMroIBRDEqVmMqqlqbR83lQ55wY
  13. Go to Discogs and look at the comments on Dark Operative's (and their predecessor Magic Bullet's) pressings of This Will Destroy You's albums. Doesn't fill me with hope that Tertia remaster or not, we will get anything worth buying.
  14. Ozzy has Parkinson's: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-51191615
  15. $30 and free shipping, including international (I only tested the UK though).
  16. Sale at Rhino. Ends today (Dec. 8th). https://store.rhino.co.uk/uk/sale.html Not a huge amount of stuff, but the Earth Vs The Wildhearts reissue is reduced and there is a whopping £0.20 off The Queen Is Dead.
  17. This has been available digitally for a while, but the vinyl is due soon. He only posts on Instagram, so expect the announcement to be made there. https://www.instagram.com/cloudkickermusic/?hl=en https://cloudkicker.bandcamp.com/album/unending
  18. Epitaph USA are claiming 20% of and free shipping, but I can only get it to give me free shipping. https://kingsroadmerch.com/epitaph-records/ Nothing on the EU site
  19. Rival Records in Leeds have a few hundred items on their Ebay page with up to 50% off. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sme/rival-records/Save-up-to-50/so.html?_seedid=264459753155&_soffType=SaleEvent&_soffid=5657499600&_trksid=p2047675.m2197
  20. It's $11 ($3.67 an item) , which sounds reasonable-ish, but they don't seem to be aware that when you buy more, the cost per item should come down significantly. When there's a sale on, you might want to splash out. However, 5 single LPs is $17 ($3.40) and 10 single LPs would be $32 ($3.20 each). I would expect the cost of 10 items to be less than $1 an item (in the USA). Their international shipping costs are par for the course for an item or two, but again if you want to splash out, they quickly become 50% and rising above other large international sellers. NB Europe ship all over Europe (except Germany where they are based and it is cheaper) for less than $12 for as many items as you want. It's the other way around to the USA and seems to me to be more representative of the actual cost to them.
  21. This level of understatement automatically qualifies you for the Great Britain & Northern Ireland Olympic 'playing things down and generally not making a fuss' team. How the hell do they expect to sell anything at those prices?
