  1. sounds awesome, dude! tyler daniel bean is fucking great. good luck with all of your releases this year <3
  2. i love this 7" a fucking indescribable amount. themeconspiracy do you have the Friction 7" for your bob collection?
  3. ah, so it is. must have missed it among the 9 pinned posts. here's a link to an outside website that hopefully the mods will find reputable: https://www.facebook.com/artisticintegrityrecords/posts/1098393896860070 also, your caps lock is on.
  4. okay, so i decided to try something here and do a raffle for this Jawbreaker painting i made. it's 24" x 18" and done with acrylic paints on a canvas in 2010. there's only one in the world. obviously it was inspired by 24 Hour Revenge Therapy. if you want this bad boy, i'd love for you to have it. it kills me that i can't find a place for it in my house. here's how the raffle will work: all tickets must be bought via PayPal by sending the money to [email protected] as a gift. 1 ticket = $5 3 tickets = $10 5 tickets = $15 10 tickets = $20 (<--- this has been the most popular option so far) 15 tickets = $25 20 tickets = $30 25 tickets = $35 as a gift, send the amount that correlates to the number of tickets you wish to purchase, and in the notes section write "jawbreaker painting raffle". i'll reply with an e-mail letting you know what raffle ticket numbers are yours within 24 hours. if you're not comfortable sending the money as a gift, please add $2 (no matter how many/how few tickets you are buying) to cover paypal fees. i made a spreadsheet on my computer and i've been keeping track of everybody's ticket numbers so i can easily find and contact the winner when they are picked. because if there's one thing i love, it's making spreadsheets. the date the winner will be picked is Saturday, January 23. i will make a post with a picture of the winning ticket, and follow up personally with the winner in case they don't happen to see the post for some reason. if the winner is located within 50 miles of Chicago, i will make arrangements to personally deliver it to you. if you live outside that radius, i will ship it on my own dime. i have shipped paintings all over the US and to the UK before that were all delivered unharmed, so please don't let the fact that you live in California or something be a deterrent to you if you're interested in owning this. all proceeds will go toward funding the next Artistic Integrity Records releases, of which there are already a few planned. if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch either here or by e-mailing [email protected] and i'll do my best to answer anything you've got. here are some more detailed pictures of the painting: by the way, I literally am using an old roll of raffle tickets for this, not some online random number generator. so if you've purchased some and I sent you your numbers, they weren't just some bogus numbers. I actually counted out your tickets and let you know which ones are yours. i don't know if VC has ever had a sales thread like this before, so if it's frowned upon or violates any rules or anything, sorry about that and the mods can feel free to take it down.
  5. (yes i read your post and yes i realize i'm about to offer you a color you're not asking for) i have a white AFS if you're interested. shoot me an offer in my PMs if you're into it.
  6. yes, they are bowling alley chairs. they're from the Fireside Bowl, actually. the big framed piece above it is a picture of the old marquee under the bowling pin sign out front. the yellow thing is the poster from Alkaline Trio's "Goddamnit" record release show at Fireside on October 2, 1998 (with Jets To Brazil and The Promise Ring) and the photograph is of Alkaline Trio during their performance that night, taken from the side of the stage by Rob Kellenberger (of Slapstick, Tuesday, Colossal, Smoking Popes, Rapids, etc.)
  7. thanks so much! it looks kind of random in this picture, but that's because i just ditched the computer that was sitting in the left corner under the Queers poster, with the monitor directly to its right. the turntable was totally on the other side basically under the boxing glove (which is an homage to the cover art of one of the releases i put out last year), so the posters fit PERFECTLY with everything that was beneath them. here's what it looked like originally: if you notice, each poster within an individual column is the same width as every other poster in that column. that made the side-to-side growth easier and more uniformed as i got more posters. i recently had to add the 4x4 unit, so now i can hang a few of the bigger (18 x 24, etc) posters above that and not have to worry about matching sizes because one poster will complete a column above that expedit. as long as you have a plan in place before you start hanging things, you can make it look pretty awesome pretty easily.
  8. about to undergo some minor changes/additions when it comes to what's hung on the walls, but this is the basic idea.
  9. thanks guys, it was really a lot of fun to put together. one of my favorite things about doing these covers compilations (this is the 3rd one we've done now) is being able to hear songs that you're super familiar with, being interpreted/performed in a new way. whether you're a super active Motown listener or not, everybody has heard "My Girl" and "Do You Love Me" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and a bunch of the other songs a million times just through osmosis. making a cover of a song that people are super familiar with can be a really daunting task. if you cover it 100% straight up, people will ask "why did you even make this? it's the exact same!" and if you make it totally yours, you run the risk of people saying "you butchered it! it had the perfect _______, and you did something totally different!" but to me, that's kind of the fun of it.
  10. why did she get to the airport so early?
  11. https://artisticintegrityrecords.bandcamp.com/album/air-028-not-the-same-old-songs-a-tribute-to-motown i just put out this Motown covers compilation through my label. hopefully you guys think more of them go into the "good covers" category than "bad covers" but i'll let you decide. though i may be a bit biased, i think there are some gems on this comp.

"Tears Of A Clown" by Thanks Dad "Hello" by Kind Of Like Spitting if you want to get some more detailed information about any of the songs or the bands participating, feel free to follow the AIR facebook page. this will be a digital only release, like the other comps we've done, but this one has kind of a neat twist. if you'd like to support the label and want some cool Motown shit, i have a bunch of old Motown 45s that i'm shipping out to anybody who donates $5 or more. just click the merch link on the bandcamp page to make your purchase, and i'll ship out one random record to you. i have just about 100 of them ready to go, so if you want one, act fast. as always, if you have any questions about this or any other release, shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] or Like us on facebook/message me there and i'll be happy to chat. thanks, as always, for your support. January 1, 2016 will be AIR's 28th release, and the 4th anniversary of the release of AIR-001. i'm so happy to still be going strong, and it's all thanks to you guys. -dan
