I adored the balance of chaotic hardcore and noise rock with the hooks they had on Only Love. I'd say as a whole, it's a decent experimental alt-rock/pop punk album, but I think Ultrapop was a little better than this. This definitely has moments, but if you're a fan of their older sound, this is a big step away from that.
Only Love is still a masterpiece.

Based on the singles I was surprised there was as much “craziness” as there actually is. Also really happy that Patient Mind finally made it to an album. I thought it was going to live on YouTube forever.
Really curious to see what’s next. Based on some interviews it sounds like they might take another big turn on the next album.

It’s out! Thoughts?
I like it more than Ultrapop at first listen personally.

They’re definitely one of the best live instrumental bands I’ve ever seen.

I haven’t posted on this board in a few years but logged in just to post about this LP! I love the new track. More so than the first two singles from Ultrapop. Looking forward to the full thing.
That article is still hard to tell what’s real. My biggest takeaway is that the guy I assumed was Dan Greene is named Trevor. Here’s his LinkedIn even. Ha.

Same boat, but that second variant definitely works for me and it’s already sold out, too. Good for Translation Loss and Irepress. Always assumed they’re relatively unknown, sadly.

Yea, good for them! They’re definitely one of a kind.

So pumped. I missed out on the silver/blue variant. I underestimated how fast it would go.

I think it’s their best since Dead Sinking / Insomniac!

Limited To One, Academy Annex and Generations are all the correct answers, but I also wanted to recommend Black Gold in Cobble Hill. Combination record store/coffee shop in a really cool part of Brooklyn that has a relatively small but well curated selection of mostly used stuff.
Black Gold is cool. And right around the corner is Almost Ready Records. I finally went there after passing it on the way to the tunnel and I was pleasantly surprised. Much bigger stock than Black Gold. New and used.

Aside from the type of stuff we're all generally interested in around here, I'd be interested to know of any shops that carry a lot of 45s, preferably an absurd amount of 45s.
Would any of you resident New Yorkers be willing to converse with me via PM about some basic questions about the city as well as some recommendations?
I’ve been in the city for quite a while and maybe can help depending on that you need help with.

Just a heads up for anyone interested, we have less than 10 copies of the 3 color splatter variant left in our Bandcamp stock.
with just a few more available at Rising Pulse Records.

Ah, I believe it's a service you need an account for, DHL eCommerce (not DHL Express) or so I gather from Omnian's FAQs. Not sure how financially viable this is for labels though, but hope it's something worth considering, especially since USPS international shipping hike.
Ahhh, Got it. Thank you.
Dang. Makes sense for labels but not for individuals only selling a handful of LPs. It’s such a bummer it costs so much. Thank u though! -

Captured Tracks (and Temporary Residence use to) use DHL International which is $8. They get really special kisses from me.
Not sure what sorcery they used but when I do the online quote generator, an LP to the Netherlands (using as an example since I have to ship one) was is $109usd!! I don’t get it.

There are options outside of USPS that are far cheaper and don't require proxies/distributers. But really hope either option is easy on him; I want more records from him.
What’s cheaper? We ship LPs ourselves (from NYC) but everything seems to be really expensive.

Got that blue/blue, I’m glad he decided print this release, I seem to remember that he had said elsewhere that he wouldn’t go through the hassle anymore. Album is great!
Yea he definitely said that. Glad he pressed it too. I like this one the most since Beacons.

I hope that free shipping doesn’t bite him in the butt. It cost like $25 to ship overseas. 😬

So glad to finally have all these on vinyl but damn this slipcase sucks. Even just a slightly heavier stock would be much better.
I like the minimalist design but I wish there was at least some kind of liner notes/track listing/etc. feels incomplete right now.
