I own the original press of Oshin on black. It isn't the best pressing, slight wobble/slight warble. I feel like this was typical for Captured Tracks releases in the past, as I received so many slightly warped Wild Nothing LPs (Nocturne LTD & Gemini especially). I believe they switched pressing plants not too long ago, so I am hoping this mislabeled version is a better press. We'll see...

Captured Tracks has 80 misprint LP copies of DIIV Oshin up on their website right now. The site is really lagging. So be patient. http://bit.ly/18Cp48Q They are going for $15 plus $4.50 for shipping. Get one while you can, discogs prices for this album are outrageous! The DIIV albums have Holograms labels on the them. They stamped over the label with DIIV. See the Captured Tracks Facebook page for more info/picture.

Hey VC. Popmarket is selling a 7 album Spoon bundle today. All LPs are on 180g vinyl with their latest release pressed on 180g white vinyl. http://www.popmarket.com/details/46470505?feature_id=46300074 If you use the Popmarket10 coupon code the cost $89.99 with free shipping. About $12.85 per album. Not a bad deal.

Hey VC. I'm looking to trade some records. Please pass along your tradelist if any of these titles interest you. I would also sell them outright, so please PM me with an offer if you want to buy any of these titles. I'd prefer to trade though. All albums below are pressed on black vinyl and in EX-NM condition. 1. Pearl Jam - Backspacer 2. Portishead - 3 [2xLP - 45rpm] 3. The Notwist - Run, Run, Run (RSD 2014 Doublegroove 12inch EP; labeled as 45rpm, but actually a 33) 4. Metallica - Kill Em All [1xLP MOFI Half Speed Remaster] 5. Flying Lotus - You're Dead [2xLP] 6. Memory Tapes - Grace/Confusion 7. Mickey Mouse Disco (lol...for your kiddies! Vinyl is a VG+) One specific LP I am looking for at the moment is Craft Spells - Idle Labor.

I'm not a photographer, but I'd thought I would contribute some of my photos to this thread. I'm a field biologist, so I end up in some beautiful places around creatures that are often overlooked. I really enjoy all the beautiful images everyone has posted. I wish I knew some of the techniques that you all have presented with your work. Cheers

Hi VC, I am looking for a copy of Junta on vinyl. Either the 2012 RSD release or the 2013 repress. I saw it once in a shop in Milwaukee for $44 and now I regret passing it up. I am not looking to pay much more than cost for it. Probably about $50-60 with shipping in the US. Right now Junta is going for $120-700 on discogs. Quite the range on price, and this request is probably a long shot, but I'd thought I'd throw it out there to the VC community. Someone must have a sealed copy sitting on their shelf collecting dust, right? Cheers.

Built to Spill - Ancient Melodies of the Future
zdkaiser replied to aopps42's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Check out the last track "The Weather" as well. I love that one. FYI, Music On Vinyl is sourcing this album from 24bit/192kHz digital files. Not the full analog source like the previous represses of PFNO, KILAS, and YIR. Should sound good none the less, I'm sure. http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/built-to-spills-ancient-melodies-of-the-future-being-re-pressed-by-mov.403801/ -

I already pre ordered through Amazon. UK. very excited... -
For me, i like the idea of music discovery. There is 100+ years worth of recorded music by thousands of artists i could buy. And when i buy albums i think about diversifying my collection, something new. I like a mixture of genres to choose from. Then again, i consume music and am always looking for new sounds. I understand peoples' reasoning for collecting variants now.

Good point. Then again everything is getting pressed these days. I.e., the Transformers cartoon soundtrack? Dexter on blood splatter? Sons of Anarchy with Katey Sagal's atrocious voice? What next 4 Golden Girls picture discs?
