I hate those mailers. They really are dogshit. It's 50/50 whether the record arrives with a corner ding or worse and it seems the major UK distributors (recordstore.co.uk, kontraband, sandbag etc) use them exclusively. That said, lovely gold auto!

im in the US but ordered from amazon.fr. luckily i have a friend who lives there so i was able to have it shipped over there. i think it’s just under $50 to have it shipped to the US which might still be a little cheaper than discogs. it’s still available. 

FYI -- they're getting screwy with spacing the release dates, but it's been on a Thursday at 3pm (UK time) every time so far. 

Redundant answer. But I had seen quite a few Elastica about while I was hitting the stores in London late in the day (for someone who said they were after one) so they shouldn't be too hard to find. Same with The Charlatans 'Us And Us Only'.  A store called 'Sounds of the Universe' had at least 20 copies that weren't going anywhere!

The limited Stereolab store edition of Mars Audiac Quintet is currently showing in stock, though you might wanna move fast. 

Props to Norman Records in the UK who were onto this pretty quick, asking if it were alright for them to send my details to Sacred Bones. At least some store(s) are in the know and handling it.

I hate people who haven't been into a band since their first album was released and then they get into them and all of a sudden they think they're legit fans. Stupid bandwagoners!!!!

Do people not love the first two albums? That's when I first saw them live and loved them. Loved the melodies, loved the minimal instrumentation. Was fully on board til Bloom and then they started to really shed that previous skin and become less interesting. It all felt overblown, overproduced, lacking the subtleties and simplicity of the earlier stuff. I've kept an ear out for them ever since, curious of them pulling things back to simpler times.

It's real. Checked with my store in the UK if they knew anything about it, and they said they'd ordered and were getting copies in. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

I've emailed within seconds of the FB post going up the last few weeks, maybe more and haven't seen anything yet. I know posting to the UK is $20+ out the window . I wouldn't blame them if they put the O/S winners records on a slow boat to save themselves $$.

Yep, I remember the comic book insanity. They kept pushing out inferior product with many variants riding on the fear of "missing out" by collectors. Resale prices inflated. One day people realized that that pointless variant of an obscure soundtrack  Lady Death comic wasn't worth much of anything. I see happy days ahead for collectors' record portfolios.
