  1. Haha, I was looking at my 1X4's and 2x2's when I posted that response. I completely forgot about the bigger ones. I did 6 legs on the 1x4's and 4 on 2x2's - haven't had any issues with that set-up
  2. I assume you've looked into this, but if you don't want to completely reinvent your storage area - IKEA sells legs you can attach to the bottom of the KALLAX - https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/capita-leg-stainless-steel-60263574/ I'm pretty sure that's what I have on mine. imagine it would get them elevated enough to get them off any heat that could affect your records. It doesn't raise the shelves too much, ours still sit under the window sills in the room they're in.
  3. Earlier today she tweeted that the Target one is low on stock (obviously, take that for what it's worth) - I received mine yesterday, haven't had a chance to spin it, but I did open it up and it's a nice package. I won tix to her January show in the area through a promotion through her and the venue. Somehow someway, it comes with a copy of the vinyl... excited to see which version I end up with. also stoked to see her for the 4th time!
  4. Long time lurker, rare poster. dropped in to say how fun it was to see a Brian Fallon related project causing a bit of excitement on the board. Felt like old times for a minute!!
  5. For anyone interested, there's a really good podcast celebrating Vagrant 25 Hosted by Matt from Get Up Kids. The Anniversary episode was really good and informative https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/vagrant-records-25-years-on-the-street/id1568066249
  6. I felt horrible for him about the whole situation. I have to believe that wasn't the first time he has gotten stiffed. I was really shocked at how cool he was about the whole thing. Hell, I had bands yell at me for way trivial things
  7. I can't speak on Doyle (who I've heard is a nice guy) but, I've crossed paths with Jerry a few times in a few different situations. he's always been a solid guy. seems like he has a heart of gold. multiple times I've seen him stand there and sign every autograph before he takes off. when I was managing a venue, the Misfits played, a promoter we didn't usually work with booked the show and skipped out on paying them - instead of taking it out on me, he was super-chill and said "well, this is why I pay a lawyer... thanks for the hospitality." Reader's Digest version of said path crossing, but I appreciated how he's always been super nice.
  8. This is likely super-niche and might not be for everyone, but a few might be interested... St Louis' finest The Skalars debut Moon Ska release 'Skoolin with the Skalars ' is available for the first time on vinyl(as far as I know) via jump up records. first 75 orders gets a pencil and eraser set. http://www.jumpuprecords.com/skalars/
  9. Clearly, I'm in the minority here, but I didn't think it was *that* bad the one time I've been able to sit and listen to it... I want to give it a fair shot and my daily commute seems like the best place, currently.
  10. I was pretty surprised to find an album with a $30 price tag didn't come with a download code... any chance anyone is sitting on an extra download they'd be willing to share with me?
  11. this hit the doorstep yesterday. One time through and... wow, quite the departure from what I expected (not a bad thing) didn't have a download card in my copy - anyone else that grabbed this, did you get one?
  12. That's rad! I didn't get to see them back in the day - they've yet to play in the area on this 'reunion' hoping that changes if they tour on this album!
  13. Not sure if anyone around these parts are/were into that dog from the early/mid 90's but they've gotten back together and recorded a new album. originally, only available for pre-order via digital platforms, they announced this morning a vinyl pre-order on amazon (seems to be the only place to pre-order) https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WFJ97C7?pf_rd_p=183f5289-9dc0-416f-942e-e8f213ef368b&pf_rd_r=25M7V8786305C508DM5X
  14. Resurrecting an old thread as this seemed the best place to park this info - New Chali 2na + Krafty Kuts album coming out August 09 - Pre-order Bundles Here: https://www.superheroesanonymous.co.uk/ also available domestically via Amazon: Import LP(Can't tell if it's the same Purple LP offered via the above link), CD, Digital https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T3JPQ4K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
