  1. There was also an /100 hotwatermusic.com webstore exclusive. I must've deleted the email because I can't find details on color variant. It sold out pretty quickly the day they announced the release. EDIT: Color: Moon (Pearlstraw Base W/ Bone Splatter Moon Effect) Limited to 100!
  2. The original 7" series was such a rad idea! i need to go back and dig those up. I seem to recall having a heck of a time figuring out what colors I had because - honestly, I think all of mine are the old "no Idea Mush. Always hoped more bands would do something similar to this. it was rad getting a new record randomly. I have the Dave Hause series and Murder By Death ones. Somebody needs to run with this idea!
  3. seems like a good time to tip you off to this if it flew under your radar - Dave Hause reimagining Loved Ones songs. LP due out in November, Order comes with an immediate download of the full album. I'm half way through it and loving it. Canada and EU copies sold out, Few US copies left as of me posting this https://dave-hause.myshopify.com/?mc_cid=d294d5001a
  4. A friend wants me to come out to this in a couple weeks. I don't think this is an officially sanctioned "emo night" - can confirm that it's an afterparty for the Taking Back Sunday show taking place in the entertainment district earlier that night. I can't recall the last time I've seen him on stage in town(in this or any capacity). a friend who knows him pretty well said he's doing ok and a bit of a recluse these days.
  5. For anyone interested, Airborne Toxic Event is releasing a 2xLP 08/02 Live at the Greek. 8. New /500 pressing of The Good Life up over at Newbury Comics I'm *pretty* sure this has been out of print for a while https://www.newburycomics.com/products/justin_townes_earle-the_good_life_exclusive_lp?variant=42013154410676
  9. 10. I hear ya! It's my hope that they just wanted to add a couple buzz-words to the press release. They did an amazing job with the Muppet Christmas Carol Release last year so I'm giving the benefit of the doubt on this one
  11. https://www.iam8bit.com/products/muppet-movie-vinyl-soundtrack?_kx=U8H00CWKgetlLqC1DP6hU38U2mkhlwWYHP2QmU3WA4M%3D.SCPJSA Seems like a stretch that this would get a ton of traction on here, but figured it worth pointing out for those that might be into it Reimagined for the First Time in Over 40 Years - Completely Remastered for Vinyl! 1xLP on Kermit Green Vinyl (iam8bit Exclusive Edition) 1xLP on Miss Piggy Pink Vinyl Featuring timeless classics, “Rainbow Connection” and “Movin’ Right Along” Album Art by Kevin Wilson Music by Paul Williams and Kenneth Ascher Mastered for Vinyl by Dave Gardner
  12. Noted. Thanks guys! I wondered if Epitaph was doing away with codes. The last couple albums I ordered via Kings Road didn't come with a code and when I reached out to get one, I was told those albums didn't come with one. good to know that this one might be an exception. I know this is "old man yells at cloud" but I miss DL codes coming standard.
  13. I spaced picking this up and need to order it out of curiosity, does the vinyl come with a download code?
  14. resurrecting an old thread to tip folks off that, quietly, with minimal fanfare, the follow up to Hideout Sessions, The Space Sessions LP went up for pre-order this week (This has been out digitally for a while now)... https://joshcaterer.bandcamp.com/ The SPACE Sessions follows in the footsteps of his critically-acclaimed early 2021 release The Hideout Sessions, which was recorded at the beloved small Chicago venue that album took its title from. Caterer reunites with bassist John San Juan (Hushdrops) and drummer John Perrin (NRBQ) for another electrifying performance, this time recorded at SPACE, an intimate concert hall on the city’s north side. In keeping with the format of The Hideout Sessions, this powerful, poppy trio performed to empty house, live-streaming as a virtual concert event. Josh and his cohorts played with all the inspired intensity of the performance at the Hideout, but with an even more tangible sense of self-assurance. The band tears through an ambitious setlist including visionary arrangements of standards like the Etta James’ classic “At Last”, Frank & Nancy Sinatra’s “Somethin’ Stupid” (delivered here as a stirring duet between Josh and his daughter Phoebe) and a handful of original compositions, spanning the breadth of Caterer’s impressive songwriting catalog. Caterer first burst onto the Chicago punk scene in 1991 with Smoking Popes who he formed with his brothers Eli and Matt. From their early indie releases to their critically acclaimed major label albums, Smoking Popes developed a unique blend of buzzsaw guitars, caffeinated rhythms and heartfelt crooning vocals.

  16. This just went up this morning! Double 180G 2xLP https://lucero.merchtable.com/music/lucero-self-titled-vinyl-lp-20th-anniversary
  17. Haha, I was looking at my 1X4's and 2x2's when I posted that response. I completely forgot about the bigger ones. I did 6 legs on the 1x4's and 4 on 2x2's - haven't had any issues with that set-up
  18. I assume you've looked into this, but if you don't want to completely reinvent your storage area - IKEA sells legs you can attach to the bottom of the KALLAX - https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/capita-leg-stainless-steel-60263574/ I'm pretty sure that's what I have on mine. imagine it would get them elevated enough to get them off any heat that could affect your records. It doesn't raise the shelves too much, ours still sit under the window sills in the room they're in.
  19. Earlier today she tweeted that the Target one is low on stock (obviously, take that for what it's worth) - I received mine yesterday, haven't had a chance to spin it, but I did open it up and it's a nice package. I won tix to her January show in the area through a promotion through her and the venue. Somehow someway, it comes with a copy of the vinyl... excited to see which version I end up with. also stoked to see her for the 4th time!
  20. Long time lurker, rare poster. dropped in to say how fun it was to see a Brian Fallon related project causing a bit of excitement on the board. Felt like old times for a minute!!
  21. For anyone interested, there's a really good podcast celebrating Vagrant 25 Hosted by Matt from Get Up Kids. The Anniversary episode was really good and informative https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/vagrant-records-25-years-on-the-street/id1568066249
  22. I felt horrible for him about the whole situation. I have to believe that wasn't the first time he has gotten stiffed. I was really shocked at how cool he was about the whole thing. Hell, I had bands yell at me for way trivial things
  23. I can't speak on Doyle (who I've heard is a nice guy) but, I've crossed paths with Jerry a few times in a few different situations. he's always been a solid guy. seems like he has a heart of gold. multiple times I've seen him stand there and sign every autograph before he takes off. when I was managing a venue, the Misfits played, a promoter we didn't usually work with booked the show and skipped out on paying them - instead of taking it out on me, he was super-chill and said "well, this is why I pay a lawyer... thanks for the hospitality." Reader's Digest version of said path crossing, but I appreciated how he's always been super nice.
  24. This is likely super-niche and might not be for everyone, but a few might be interested... St Louis' finest The Skalars debut Moon Ska release 'Skoolin with the Skalars ' is available for the first time on vinyl(as far as I know) via jump up records. first 75 orders gets a pencil and eraser set. http://www.jumpuprecords.com/skalars/
