6131 Records has recently added Los Angeles' Touche Amore to their roster. TA has already established a name for themselves with their powerful live show and well received debut EP on No Sleep Records. Mixing influences that range from Pg. 99, The Hope Conspiracy and Mineral, Touche Amore is capable of bridging the scenes that few bands have been able to accomplish in recent history. Spring '09 marks the release of their LP entitled "… to the beat of a dead horse" which will contain guest vocals from some of their friends and will be followed by heavy touring.

The vinyl for Swamp Thing's "In Shame" came in today and was assembled throughout the night. The mailorder will be put together tomorrow and shipped by Friday. There are still some copies of maroon and white available, but you need to place your order ASAP since there were only 1,000 total copies pressed.

Bad Seed – We would like to welcome Wilkes-Barre, PA’s Bad Seed to the 6131 family. This young band has been turning heads on the east coast for a while now and will unleash their fury onto the rest of the world with their 6131 debut. Bad Seed has already started recording their debut 7”; the music is done and the vocals are coming soon. We’ve heard the music and it’s insane. Check out their demo on their myspace, and be on the lookout for their song on the upcoming Reaper comp.

Foreign Nature – Don’t confuse with their laying low with inactivity. Foreign Nature continues to turn heads in the bay area and will soon turn their sights on the world, as they continue to write for their EP. They’re over halfway done with the writing process, which will see the light of day after they come to LA to record in the coming months. Cruel Hand – Prying Eyes is hard. If the Bane/H2O/Cruel Hand tour is coming through your area, be sure to get there in time to catch their set. If you’ve already missed that tour, they’ll be touring for the next six months, including an east coast tour with Internal Affairs and Alpha & Omega. Pressure – Pressure’s always on. Whether they’re on tour with Never Healed, Alpha & Omega, Crucified and Skin Like Iron or locked in their seedy Los Angeles studio writing their next record, Pressure always finds a way to keep busy.
