Finally got a friend to sign me into their netflix so I could see what was available and pick a couple of titles off of what they have.

Is there a website that keeps a current list of what is available on Netflix? I only ask becasue I'd like to try and pick a pair of titles that most of you will actually have the ability to watch.

How strict do we want to be with what is a 'horror' film? Can it be something borderline exploitation or sci-fi? What's everyone's opinion?

I managed to score all 3 versions at Mondo Con....playing that vinyl tossing game (with all the discarded mis-presses of The Omen variant) was like crack. I finally understood what those folks who go into convenience stores and feverishly starting rubbing scratch-offs in their cars before heading back inside for more feel like.

Yeah, I checked ebates right away too. Oh well.

Didn't ask about From Beyond, but they did say their only 2 release for the remainder of this year will be Trick 'r Treat and Nightbreed. So my guess is that From Beyond is bumped to next year. They were selling the murky green F13 at the show (for only $20!) so I picked it up. It looks like that promo shot when you hold it up to light but otherwise it is definitely on the darker side IMO. My friend opened hers up in a dimly lit hotel room and thought it was black lol.

So I got to chat with the lady from Waxwork at Mondo Con and she said there are going to be 3 variants of Trick 'r Treat. One will be candy corn, the other will be picture discs (Sam masked/unmasked and the sucker whole/bitten), plus one other variant which escapes me at the moment. She said there won't be anything crazy like that F13 blood-filled and that they're not sure if they're ever gonna do anything that limited again. So Trick 'r Treat is up next and will be followed by Nightbreed before year's end. The Warriors is now slated for 2015.

Yep, bummed me out thinking of all the money I've spent that I could've saved if only I were patient.

Not sure if anyone cares, but DW had a couple of splatter exclusive variants limited to 100 for House by the Cemetery and Twins of Evil at Mondo Con. They also gave you 50% off your order at the end of the day on Sunday if you shouted "I'm a Mondo Con Flipper" at the top of your lungs. Cool dudes. Wound up with a copy of New York Ripper for 5 bucks (their prices were way cheap to begin with).

I'm gonna try and get my hands on a couple of the test presses, but the whole problem with Mondo Con is there are going to be so many different things trying to steal the money out of my wallet...

Nice...I think I'm gonna have to gamble on this.

Safe Haven was an excellent segment and easily the best of the series IMO. Hoping to check out Tusk next week when I'm home from Mondo Con if it is still in theaters.
