  1. My assumptions were purely based on the fact that they were described as a "band" in the post, but were clearly synth artists given the context. It was also mentioned that they had just announced a new album. Here's the post for context:
  2. This is truly the only way it can be appropriately described. Anticipation for this album is even greater now - didn't think that was possible.
  3. The guy who runs Blood Music (who've pretty much lead the charge in the synthwave "scene") posted on Facebook about a "group" that he nearly signed a year or so ago, who had some bizarre and pretentious demands which caused him to cease communications. I'm almost positive it was SURVIVE - especially given the comments on Mondo too, which is a bummer.
  4. This leaked -- it's quite early too, so I'm fairly surprised. Definitely has elements of all of their past releases; pretty solid upon first listen. I had it on in the background while doing some work. Looking forward to giving it another listen.
  5. Looks like Midheaven did indeed have copies of the S/T. I was refunded for MF064 + shipping difference, but the S/T went through, so thanks again. This is quite the scavenger hunt.
  6. Unfortunately, I don't think their inventory system is very accurate. Tried to checkout with 200 copies of the S/T and it was letting me. We'll see, though! Good looking out.

  8. There actually are mockups on the US NB page: http://shop.nuclearblast.com/en/shop/item/groups/51000.1.html?article_group_sort_type_handle=rank&custom_keywords=opeth+sorceress
  9. So I'd say we can assume assume the album is around 50 minutes or so, if they're able to cram it on 1 LP at 33 RPM and 2xLP at 45 RPM, yeah?
  10. Yeah, that intro is kind of a red herring of sorts. Certainly wasn't expecting the riff that followed.
  11. The title track premiered on BBC radio. Definitely enjoying it more immediately than anything since Watershed. I certainly miss the Blackwater Park days too, though. http://www.theprp.com/2016/07/31/news/new-opeth-track-sorceress-available-stream/
  12. Earache colors are cool, but being able to grab it for $15 from Amazon UK is a no-brainer for me.
  13. Nice! Really bummed I didn't jump on From Mars... right away last time and ended up missing out. Hopefully these pop up elsewhere besides EMP.
  14. Does it seem that there is a chance of the band getting some copies to sell domestically, based on your interactions with this guy? This is sounding pretty great on first listen -- nothing really out of the ordinary, but very well done for what it is.
  15. Currently album of the year for me, and it'll likely be pretty hard to top. Can't wait for the vinyl release. For the sake of having something embedded in the thread:
  16. Yeah, it's horrendous - which is why I'm all about some sort of group buy. Looks like it caps around $22, despite how much you add to your cart. So even with 3 people it becomes much more reasonable.
  17. Ugh. Really need to get on Seas... and Plains... Is anyone else stateside looking to order anything from Shelsmusic in the near future? Certainly down to organize any sort of group order to save all interested in on shipping.
  18. This is also up in the US store. Likely cheaper than the EU store, given that VAT is included, but I could be wrong. http://shop.nuclearblast.com/en/products/sound/vinyl/vinyl-box-set/meshuggah-25-years-of-musical-deviance-vinyl-box-set-.html
  19. Yeah, HeavierMetal.net is a satire site... 2016 Internet Pro tip: always look at other articles on a site you're unfamiliar with before assuming their content is real. http://heaviermetal.net/security-detail-tackles-homeless-man-on-oscars-red-carpet-turns-out-to-be-rob-zombie
  20. So glad this is finally happening. The new track is great. Really hoping A Data... is still being repressed, though.
  21. So I messed up and bought tickets to his show in Chicago (Saturday, July 16th) when they went on sale a few weeks back and just now realized I won't be able to make it. If anyone would like them, let me know. I'd sell them at a bit of a discount since they're still available.
  22. I just noticed that the album cover is different on the black variant. I wonder if that's how all the vinyl copies will be or if it's exclusive to the black. Edit: Nevermind, that's the inner sleeve/booklet. Not enough coffee yet.
