  1. Since we are on the downhill of 2019, me and my buddy were having a conversation of best albums of the decade. I thought I would ask you guys to get some opinions. Some of the ones we came up with last night. These are in no particular order. Frank Ocean - Blonde Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid Maad City Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of the City Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell Kacey Musgraves - Golden Hour Bon Iver - 22 a million Carly Rae Jepsen - Emotion Kanye West - MBDTF What would make your guy's lists?
  2. Hey guys, I'm a big supporter of the Operation Underground Railroad, which focuses on eliminating sex trafficking through rescue and recovery planning. They've recently partnered with BestCompany (a review site, think like Yelp..but for national brands) and they've agreed to donate $2 for every review left on their site. It's way cool, and you can leave as many reviews as you want, and it tracks how much money you've raised for the cause. If any of you guys are into this cause, and want to donate, but don't have the funds, this is a great way to still contribute, cause all it requires is a little time. Here's the link for anyone interested!
  3. Not looking forward to dropping this much cash, but this is a must buy for me. I wish they sold the box separately though as I already have all the albums (besides Royal Albert Hall). The Killers webstore will have it in 5 hours and I bet the price won't be as high. I'd expect it in the $150-$200 range.
  4. Good point, I'm probably biased too.. as I liked it from the first listen. That makes the 'continuing to give it listens' a lot easier. Also.. that synth during the intro and verses of Tyson vs. Douglas is hands down my favorite part of the album.
  5. For you guys who aren't digging it right off the bat, definitely give it a few listens. I loved it after the first listen (however, after 5 years, they could've released complete shit and I probably still would've been in love with it...) but there were some tracks I couldn't get into. I've probably listened to it 30+ times in the last week and every song has grown on me, even the ones I liked. Will this go down as a Killers classic? Probably not.. but if you like the band I think it's worth picking it up and giving it a few more shots. Also, I 100% back the praise for Day & Age and Battle Born. I feel like those two albums never got enough love. Day & Age flows beautifully, plus the 5 song punch from Human to This Is Your Life beats out the opening 5 tracks on Hot Fuss in my opinion.
  6. As someone who's all time favorite band since 2004 has been the Killers.... .... I fucking love this track. It's been a long 5 years.
  7. I'm at the fest now, and just grabbed an extra copy, the first one to PM me can have it for cost plus shipping. EDIT: pending
  8. I ended up grabbing all three variants... but I've got a complete collection going, and I don't want to eff that up.
  9. New album out 4/7. Three pressings (so far) White/Aqua split (/500 only available in bundles): https://shop.81twentythree.com/collections/themaine/products/lovely-little-lonely-box-set-deluxe https://shop.81twentythree.com/collections/themaine/products/lovely-little-lonely-box-set Purple/Black split (/500): https://shop.81twentythree.com/collections/themaine/products/lovely-little-lonely-vinyl-black-purple Purple (/1500): https://shop.81twentythree.com/collections/themaine/products/lovely-little-lonely-vinyl In other news: the new single 'bad behavior' can be found here. I shamelessly dropped $200 tonight.
  10. I'll be going down there next weekend for the fest, I'll try to pick up as many as I'm able to.
  11. Slowly unloading the collection, have a bunch of auctions ending today, most are still under $10 http://www.ebay.com/sch/bhemblem/m.html?_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1 Also, moving forward I'll be listing more records, they'll be auctions starting at $.99 so continue to check back and you might get a good deal!
  12. Based off the picture from the site, it looks like it could have a middle flap it the gatefold...making it like a 'book' style.
  13. Backing this seller as well. He hooked me up with a bunch of my wants for a GREAT price. Buy from this guy.
  14. I was browsing through this and pick up Active Child's Mercy for $8 something shipped.
  15. Yeah, sorry I should've clarified, I got two tix for their show in September. It's just part of their regular tour.
  16. My record store was giving away two free tickets to their show with a purchase of the LP (while supplies last). I took an early lunch and went to grab it. It's the black variant, but I could care less, I'll take an LP and two tickets for $22 any day!
  17. My 2004 US has both (Change Your Mind for Track 8, GIR&R as a bonus track) so hopefully the US repress is similar.
  18. Yeah, Yellowcard was my first real concert I attended, and I'm going to miss them coming to town. Luckily they'll still be stopping through SLC twice before it's all said and done. Ordered the /300 variant as well.
  19. Looks like this is it for the band. From their website Putting this into words hasn't been easy. When saying farewell, it is hard to know where to start, especially when there are so many reasons not to say it, but the time has come to share this news. After countless discussions and months of thought, we have decided that it is time for Yellowcard to come to an end. This will be our last album and our final world tour. The decision was an incredibly difficult one for us to make. We considered so many things - our families, our health, our future endeavors. In the end we realized that this was the right time to step away and preserve the legacy and integrity of the band. It is with you, the fans in mind, that this decision was made, We wanted to have the chance to share our farewell with as many fans around the world as we could, and now is the right time to do just that We went into this record knowing it would be the last, which is why we chose to have Ryan Key and Ryan Mendez produce it. The motivation behind this was to make sure these songs came from a place that was deeply rooted in us. We wanted to push ourselves to create a lasting finale for this incredible story on our own. It is also why we chose to self-title the album. We were lucky to still have our friend and mentor, Neal Avron, on board as Executive Producer and mixer and we've made one of the strongest records of our career and a fitting final creative piece. Once this final chapter for Yellowcard comes to a close, we will all be heading in new directions in our lives, but these memories will never leave us. We can only hope that the memories we have made together with you will stay in your hearts as well You have stood by us through all of the highs and lows on this unbelievable journey. We will be forever grateful to Yellowcard fans all over the world for the opportunities you have given us. We have played shows for nearly two decades on six continents, and had the chance to keep recording the music we love year after year. While it is with sadness that we say goodbye, it is with gratitude and amazement that we look back on a career we can be proud of, and were so very lucky to have had. Please come and join us on our last trip around the globe. We hope to share this final record and tour with each and every one of you. "I won't be with you, but I won't be far away and this is goodbye." -Ryan, Sean, Ryan, and Josh Pre-Order here: Self Titled Cream Heavy Splatter 2xLP Vinyl http://yellowcard.merchnow.com/products/v2/232801/self-titled Self Titled Opaque Grey w/ Cloudy Clear 2xLP Vinyl http://yellowcard.merchnow.com/products/v2/232802/self-titled Bundles can be found here: http://yellowcard.merchnow.com/
  20. I've watched the live stream of that Governors Ball set 3 times. The energy at that show was AMAZING. Especially with how rainy it looked like it was!
