Klosterman is a fantastic writer. His first novel "Downtown Owl" wasn't very good, but I've liked every other book he's written. If you get a chance, download the audiobook of "IV" because he reads it himself and you'd never expect his voice.

VInyl is not a magical format. Digital isn't shit by default. Playing records on a Project III turntable, through a TC-750 preamp, plugged into a Sony stereo also defeats the entire (potential) sound quality argument.

for most situations i'd agree with this, but jack is hardly whoring out his back catalog. at least a new jack album every year since this man opened (DW, JW, etc) and producing tons of singles and bands people would otherwise never hear of (and some i wish i didn't), the man is a workaholic and doing more for vinyl than arguably anyone today.
