  1. Sell it. Pandemic brain has new collectors paying top dollar for stuff you'll more than likely never spin again, hang onto records that actually mean something to you, invest the money into installing a stone pizza oven in your backyard 💪🍕
  2. I'm willing to bet the pandemic also made VNYL grow in numbers. People were desperate to pick up new interests during lockdown, and if they couldn't go to a record store something like VNYL sounds amazing to someone brand new to collecting (poor bastards lol).
  3. What @superpeepholesaid, get an enclosure (preferably one with a power input) or a docking bay (link below) from Amazon, then send that shit back for a refund 😂. You should be able to access your C/D drive as if it were an external drive. Don't see why it wouldn't work on a Mac, you're just dragging/dropping universal media files. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083W6YBPW/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_18F4CW0PH9D7ZMFT430M?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  4. 5 year plan? PS: (The Rock Lobsters should at least show the LD homies some love, and do a lil /200 press of this masterpiece https://www.discogs.com/release/5267655-Lorene-Drive-Romantic-Wealth)
  5. I will quit after I (finally) get a Vinyl Collective: Collector of the Month award.
  6. I've had records warp from window glare and even the heat from a goddamn Wii console. I now live in constant fear, but haven't had any records parish as of late. Take them off the bottom shelf and put some cacti down there, hit up a Black Friday deal for a new shelf, live mas.
  7. There probably will be a PN bundle with a screen printed sleeve/exclusive piece of merch for the same price as an import or a little bit more. There usually always is. I'm just gonna hold out for Revolver or Newbury or something though 😕
  8. This is really rad stuff! Reminds me of Dillinger Four. Thanks for the suggestion, dude!
  9. Really liking Luca Brasi and Mercy Music! I had no idea the singer from Sharks had a new band, I was a huge fan of them and Violent Hearts seems to pick up where they left off. Thanks dude!
  10. Yes, this is a drunk post. Yes, this will be moved to the ETE board tomorrow. I'm in desperate need for new jams, but have a hankering for a specific sound. Circa 2011 there were a handful of killer records that shot my dick out the back of my shoes, and maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, but dammit, I miss that sound/energy! I'm talking records like: Small Brown Bike - Fell and Found Bridge and Tunnel - Rebuilding Year Luther - Let's Get You Somewhere Else I've come across a couple similar bands like Somerset Thrower, but I need more! Any recommendations?? Preferably new/active bands I can support monetarily. Gracias
  11. Can't find the thread for LP2 (technically their 3rd, but whatever), looks like Bart is wrapping GL up after a forthcoming tour. Bummer :,( https://www.instagram.com/p/CVvyY8Sh3kV/?utm_medium=copy_link
  12. Just one record player in my entertainment/guitar room, and Google Homes in mostly every other room. Hope my FBI guy is enjoying the show.
  13. (I'll merge this with the 'Does anyone have any information about this record?' master thread whenever I remember the name of it/can actually find it)
  14. I've listened to this band very passively, but this new song is really feeling the Meat Wave/Rozwell Kid void in my life right now.
  15. We have a board dedicated to buying/selling records. I've moved your (this) thread to it. Welcome.
  16. So I got the scoop on Kyle Bann's departure by digging through IG comments, and let's just say it was to due very unsettling circumstances. I don't want to get into the nitty gritty here, but there are plenty of posts on Reddit for those of you who are interested. Regardless, I have spent quite a bit of time with this record now, and I have to admit it's much cooler than I was anticipating. It feels more like an extension of The Pact, but with more empahisis on Leah's vocals opposed to the band's instrumentation. It's definetly different in that regard, but still feels like a Slothrust album. I do wish there were a few more songs like The Next Curse because that one really hearkens back to the Everyone Else days (my favorite album from them). Overall this is a really good record. I also really appreciate how compact it feels, it doesn't overstay it's welcome and plants enough earworns in ya to make you want to replay it all over again as soon as it ends. A top 3 favorite 2021 for sure.
  17. It has been reported new user @Dalecasey has contacted a member offering a sale, but would not provide photos and wanted to use unprotected payment methods (cashapp/apple pay), when pressed by the buyer to provide photos they collected images off of Discogs and tried to pass them off as their own. This user has 0 posts or feedback, and for that reason they have been removed from the boards. If you have been in any form of contact with this individual I strongly suggest you stop and block them if you've moved your conversations to a third party platform. This is extremely suspicious behavior and I'd hate to see any of our members get ripped off.
  18. Via Interpunk lol "we just found 9 copies of Masked Intruder "Love And Other Crimes" on Limited Baby Blue Vinyl LP. Get one before they are gone!" https://www.interpunk.com/item.cfm?Item=236674 Bare in mind these are a /500 third pressing of the record, but they're only $14.50 (which is very surprising for Interpunk)
  19. Looks like the 1st press grey is now available from Amazon, for those of you who don't wanna pay till it ships/missed the Bull Moose PO Farewell (Grey Vinyl) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09F79DVFJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_J6B8PD97ZK553F5DS54N?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  20. Not sure, they played this during the PS event yesterday with no other details.
