Pre-order shipping from May 31. In stores June 8. (US / EURO folks: Links to local distribution TBA) FFO: ISIS, MEWITHOUTYOU, CIRCLE TAKES THE SQUARE, MOGWAI Remastered and on vinyl for the first time, all first editions come hand-numbered. Originally self-released in 2005, Perth’s (Australia) Eleventh He Reaches London debut album sat atop the local charts for months with pressings continually selling out across the country. A truly unique band that draws on inspiration from all corners – it’s an orchestra of unease, an anti-manifesto of poetry and personal history that is unquestionably Australian. PRE-ORDER: http://hobbledehoyrecords.com/store/eleventh-he-reaches-london-the-good-fight-for-harmony/ (Ships from Australia) LISTEN (2005 original master version): http://eleventhhereacheslondon.bandcamp.com/album/the-good-fight-for-harmony

congratulations! -
what do British labels/distros hate decent mailers
hobbledehoy replied to flood's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
There's supposedly only one manufacturer in Australia for the LP mailers, everyone else imports them. Even the manufacturer is freakin expensive. Costs about $1.60 each and that's ordering 300x of them. If I get 500x at a time I can get them for about $1.10 after shipping. BOOOOO -
Why labels use different pressing plants

Why labels use different pressing plants
hobbledehoy replied to plasma36's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
From my understanding so does Pallas in germany. I have some bjork records that are DMM and they sound phenomenal lots of plants still offer DMM, particularly euro ones. and DMM can sound good if done well. although my preference is generally not to go down that route. -

Unfortunately Yu, you won't find much info more than this. This came up with the sixth press of Young Mountain, a few people (myself included) were curious about pressing numbers and Magic Bullet basically said they don't care about press numbers and are more interested in getting the music out than worrying about how many of each album are out there. While it's cool that they like to focus on the music, for people like me that are kinda OCD about knowing as much as they can about their records, it kinda sucks. As far as I know, even MBR doesn't know exact press info on everything for Young Mountain, I'd assume the same of the S/T. Also DAMN, that 1st press of Tunnel Blanket looks awesome! And I thought the 2nd press looked cool. I might need to get this... Thanks! They turned out better than I expected, complement the artwork really well. -

Out Now: LYMBYC SYSTYM - Shutter Release LP
hobbledehoy replied to hobbledehoy's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
yep! made a special effort so the distributor got half black, half white copies. so unless the store specifies what colour, you got a 50/50 chance. -
1st press limited to 380 hand-numbered copies First 25 Hobbledehoy orders receive special edition lithograph poster print PURCHASE: Hobbledehoy (Ships from Australia) - http://www.hobbledehoyrecords.com/store/lymbyc-systym-shutter-release/ AMAZON (Ships from US) - http://www.amazon.com/Shutter-Release-Lymbyc-Systym/dp/B006WAF3NQ/ Stickfigure (Ships from US) - http://www.stickfiguredistro.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=13012 + more stocklists to come! Perhaps you heard them on their split with This Will Destroy You, perhaps never have at all. Brothers Michael and Jared Bell are an amazingly adept and musical force, far beyond the inaccuracies of the “post rock” tag they often get slagged down by. Relentless in touring, unmatched in motivation, and highly organized, this is the type of band that you always hope will catch on big-time beyond traditional circles. With nearly 10 years under their belt as a band to this point, it’s scary to think what these brilliant brothers from the desert still might have up their sleeves for eager ears. Finally, after more than 2 years of waiting, Lymbyc Systym‘s 2nd album Shutter Release is available on vinyl for the first time.
