  1. Did the 180g/cover have its own button? (i.e. has it already sold out?)
  2. Haven't seen that, but wish the band would do it for real. The unreleased tunes from that session (especially "old man") are rad. Wish they'd do a collection record too. I once got to look in the tape closet at the blasting room and just quickly skimming the spines of the reels it seemed like every session had tunes that never even got released as b-sides. I'd love to hear that shit!
  3. Got this today. It's rad! Good recording/performance for a live on the radio thing. And the vinyl looks really cool and the bag is a nice touch.
  4. Recess definitely distributes to stores. You'd probably want to hit up your local spot to see if they're gonna order any.
  5. Stoked you're digging it! Also, cassettes and CDs are up for order at Recess... http://store.recessrecords.com

  8. when they did the first couple represses of that it most certainly was a menu of what colors you want. that was the whole thing... getting the nerds to buy multiple copies. it was facilitated through this very site, which was the vinyl collective MO at the time. but what's different about that than majors? they're continuing to press records that sell. it costs so much money to do multiple colors of vinyl, especially wacky colors. here was the breakdown of that first repress of goddamnit... 1st press: 500 sky blue; 500 white; 500 clear with red splatter; 500 half red/half black; 500 red with black splatter; 500 black/purple/yellow splatter; 500 green/yellow/white splatter; 500 translucent red that's probably a couple thousand dollars just in colored vinyl costs. he could have just done one color and saved a ton of money. but... having just done one color would have meant that those moved way slower. like i said above, at that time vinyl collective took full advantage of folks buying multiple copies of a record. asian man took part in that. again, i'm not faulting him for that, but it's silly to try to paint him as making every decision for his label as this altruistic, for the good of the listener thing. record labels, big and small, will do things not everyone loves to sell records, and that's their right.
  9. Well, repressing "Goddamnit" on like 8 colors followed by another pressing on 4 more isn't exactly just doing it for the sake of keeping it in print (with colored vinyl as the bonus). It's taking advantage of a collector market just like the majors are doing. I'm not criticizing Asian Man for it, but just cause they're a smaller scale and he's operated mostly for a love of doing it doesn't mean he hasn't also taken advantage of opportunities where opportunities lie.
  10. Man, I'd love to hear that Radon 222 stuff. "Back to the Hardback" is one of my favorite tunes by them and I was way bummed when that record disappeared from the No Idea coming soon list.
  11. I'm gonna be the dissenter in this thread... First two albums are classics. Then they started focusing on instrumentation over hooks (though I acknowledge that the instrumentation is rad). Empires still has good tunes, but after that I'd rather all those albums just be instrumental. The vocals feel like afterthoughts and he started singing like someone who took vocal lessons, which often kills a good punk singer's voice. There are still cool tunes here and there, like the straight hardcore ones, and even a couple with hooks (Banger's Embrace, Things I Like), but most of them all have the same flat, bellowy singing that really doesn't elevate anything in the song. I really want to love those records (I have a propagandhi tattoo!) and always listen with an excited, open mind, but I just wish they still put the effort into the melodies that they do the shredding.
  12. Do you need a Smoke Spot on black with a b&w cover? I didn't see one on the Instagram.
  13. fuck, really wanna snag a brown, but it ends up being $26 after shipping. will contemplate...
  14. i'm surprised no one has mentioned that this comes with a patch. that's one of the best gags about this whole thing!
  15. Erika can do them... http://www.erikarecords.com/oddsize.html
  16. If anyone who snagged one wants to sell let me know! I dig those bands.
  17. Nope, I think so too. I said it earlier in here somewhere, but the first one may have had a few bigger "hits," but I think this one is a lot more solid as an album. The first one kinda trailed off on side 2 for me.
  18. It's on iTunes in the meantime! Also you can steam side A... http://m.noisey.vice.com/blog/the-copyrights-report-stream
