Actually thinking about it, I probably agree. Mylo Xyloto has some great songs, but the production sucks and some of the tracks are pretty big miscalculations. That album is still very interesting to me though, as in I've never found any info about one behind the scenes aspect: when they made Mylo and uploaded some snippet videos and gave some interviews from the studio it sounded like they where making a very quiet record (Wedding Bells, and as a general vibe at that time their christmas track Christmas Lights) which would have been quite a fitting follow up to Viva La Vida. At some point during production they seemed to have decided to go in an electronic direction instead of an acoustic one. Would love to know if the label had anything to do with that or if that was just where they wanted to take it. But to be fair to them, this may have kept them on the mainstream radar that they have managed to stay on until now.

Yeah...if people enjoy it, more power to them. I stopped thinking of myself as a Coldplay fan when "A head full of dreams" came out, maybe even on "Ghost Stories". They're a band for the masses, not an artsy indie band like I thought when Viva La Vida came out and I got into them - once I understood and accepted that I was able to let go off the whole "THEY SUCK NOW" attitude. The world doesn't really have a band anymore that is able to top the charts and fill stadiums like back in the day. Coldplay is the only band that is still able to, they don't have any rockstar vibes or charme whatsoever but I guess that reflects the shitty times mainstream music is in today. I mean the new tracklist includes fucking Emojis as song titles, you don't really need to say more.

Does anyone know why this freakin record costs 50 quid across the board? I'll feel really stupid if there isn't some kind of thick booklet and download code included.

Absolutely, I still don't understand how they haven't released a variant color edition of ITM. They are really proud of the record (rightfully so) but it seems kinda out of touch by the management or creative team to just make it such a non-special bare-bones release.

Yeah, well, this is kind of average. The song itself is great obviously, but this version seems a little pointless... Ronnie said that the new album will be out in August though!

I just realized that "All that's left is love" is not on the album. I'm not exactly in love with the track but it's weird since it came out in the middle of the single run and has artwork in the same style 🧐 would have loved if another version of Paper Thin would have been on there, maybe a little bit more A&A rock version.

During the past few months The Killers have said that they have already written and recorded their next album which they communicated a few weeks ago being finished now. Today they announced a collaboration with Bruce fucking Springsteen - which will be out soon, maybe even Friday. Edit: As it turns out "Dustland" will be a new recording of "A Dustland Fairytale", not a new song. Was really hoping for a new Killers track with the Boss... Anyway, the album is coming out in late summer according to the band. Let's hope for a few nice variants on this new album, for some reason Imploding The Mirage still only has a standard black variant.

By absolute sheer coincidence, 4 months after the initial shipping, the record turned up today! Although at the Merchnow office instead of my house but they have arranged a reshipping of the record. I really hope it'll make it this time, I'd be glad if i didn't have to pay 200+ for this 😅

Hi guys, sorry for the bump. I wrote in the Sell/Buy/Trade section a few days ago and thought i'd try here at last. My order has gotten lost during transit. Neither DHL nor USPS can tell me or the merchnow staff where it went and what happened to it. German customs couldn't help either. Over 3 months after the initial shipping all parties told me that I shouldn't expect the package to still turn up, great stuff. So now I'm trying to get the record through other means. If anyone here wants to sell their copy or a spare one i would really, really appreciate that DM! Thanks!

Hi there! I initially per-ordered this on day 1 and was really looking forward to receiving it. After waiting for about 2 months I decided to call DHL and they told me the package couldn't be found, they couldn't make an investigation either...very professional. So merchnow tried to get hold of USPS and they said the same thing, I have no idea why. So now I'm looking to buy the record through other means. I would be really happy if someone had a spare copy or wants to sell theirs!

Just wanted to check back in all this time later. Never thought we'd get official stuff so soon but here we are... This is getting serious and incredibly interesting!

Ok thanks, ordered a copy anyway. But seriously, it's 2021. It's not acceptable that labels, especially major labels, still do this shit and don't include download codes. This seems especially to be the case with major artists these days.

Just a quick question: Does anyone know if these come with a download code? I read that only some come with one.
