They finally put it up on amazon.ca and it's only $154 Canadian so that's not bad either. I'll get this for myself and give my dad the other blu-ray sets I have for Christmas.

I really don't like Freedom (I don't hate it nearly as much as everyone else does), I haven't listened to it in at least 2 or 3 years. But I will say I saw them the year it came out and thought the songs were quite a bit better live. Then I saw them a year after and thought the 4 songs they played from it were way better live than even the year before. The production on Freedom is what really sucks, and the performances are week and feel rushed and unpracticed. **Edit, also the song writing does feel rushed with just similar riffs and beats from TSOPTC)

I saw them on Friday and they were very good. I flew from Toronto to Boston to see them. They kind of front loaded their set with their more mid tempo less complex songs but then about halfway through they played a lot more of their faster songs and it felt like to giant release. I'm driving down to DC to see them again in a couple of weeks.

I've got a few recommendations for current Canadian Math Rock bands that sound mostly influenced by late 90's early 2000's math rock and not "Math Core" stuff. Baby Labour - from Guelph, Ontario. This album came out last year and is all instrumental. It's my favorite album of last year. I think fans of Piglet and bands like that would like this. It's two guitars and drums, the two guitarists use a lot of effects and when one of them is playing lead the other usually complements it with an octave pedal to play bass type parts. https://babylabour.bandcamp.com/album/full-legal-stop Luge - This is another excellent album from last year. Mathy with a killer rhythm section. This one has some pretty weird moments, very dancy at times and mathy a as well. Great vocals on this as well. https://hugeluge.bandcamp.com/album/tall-is-just-a-feeling Blessed - This is one of my favorite albums of this year. They are from Abbotsford (Vancouver) BC. I'm not sure how to compare this band but this album has some pretty interesting and sneakily technical passages. Sometimes the vocals remind me of Devo. I got to see the reunited version of Don Cab in 2006 on the World Class Listening problem tour which was amazing! It was in a tiny venue in Toronto for $8. I do wish I could have seen the original line up though. *Edit* I realize now you meant Piglet not Don Cab. I was wish I could have seen Piglet but they never came up to Canada I don't think.

Ah damn, I didn't know that. I had kind of assumed since it wasn't announced that long before coming out that his score wasn't going to be in the final film that it was completed. I cynically figured it was a way that they could re-release the film later down the line. Since the original film has so many different versions I thought this would be a way they could have an alternate version.

I'm hoping this is for the unused Jóhann Jóhannsson score.

I watched this last week myself and I actually had a great time with it! Once the reveal happens it looses a bit of steam but the first hour or so I thought it was super fun.

I only went the second night (drove from Toronto) and while it was a great setlist there were more songs the first night I wanted to hear. I'm really bummed I missed The Perfect Drug.

Well it's been an expensive week and I'm glad I don't have to put down more money on Carpenter vinyl right now.

I really hope this is either the Body Bags or In the Mouth of Madness score. Or any other score that hasn't been pressed on vinyl but those are my top two.

The Brown Album is the best Primus album*. I don't think they could improve on the MOV pressing but I'll probably buy it and find out. *I know I'm the only one who thinks it's their best album.

Shit, I missed the limited edition. Either way I'm really excited for this release. The single sounds awesome and I really like the two Thought Gang songs on the Twin Peaks soundtracks.

I got an email from the John Carpenter webstore just before going into a meeting. I bought it right away but didn't have time to post on here. I'm glad the site says that orders that went through will be honored. Hopefully everyone here that wants one gets one.

My wife and I started this on recommendation from the Shock Waves podcast but we couldn't get past the first episode because of how painfully Canadian it is. Although I've heard season two (each season is a self contained story) is much better.

I don't have much to add other than if you frame it make sure you spring for glass that has UV protection so that the colors don't fade.

My wife and I went to see The Endless on the weekend and it was excellent! It's Sci-Fi-ish horror. It kind of has similar themes to Annihilation. It also has some ties to the filmmakers previous film Resolution which I really loved as well.

Wait what do you mean "Sequential re-watch"? Did someone do a fan edit and edit everything to happen sequentially? Or did you just mean a straight up rewatch?
