  2. Going to listen through this again today and I'll PM if I want it as much as I think I do
  3. Nice, much appreciated. Ordered from Bullmoose instead tho.
  4. Looking for a copy of the RSD Billy Breathes from last year. Hopefully at a price competitive with Discogs prices. Thanks in advance 😁
  5. Someone on Reddit messaged me a few weeks ago asking if I'd sell my EOTC Self-Titled. I didn't want to, but maybe I can dig for that message and let them know you have one for sale.
  6. Was about to order the new reissues but felt $35 is a bit pricey. Anyone have used copies of either of these, any variant, for less than that? nevermind, decided to order from bullmoose.
  7. Whoops, I'm a dumdum. Mods delete plz

  9. Vinyl sounds great though (early bird). Really well-mastered, sounds damn near as good as the FLAC does.
  10. https://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/132242-500-days-of-summer-vinyl/
  11. Early bird should arrive in 2 days for me but I caved and listened to the lossless download last night. Good stuff. I appreciate this band doing something a little different/evolving with each album. Lots of female vocals throughout are a nice addition and hold a great spot in the full-bodied mix. The memorable repetitive guitar licks we all loved from LP1 have now fully given way to multi tracked guitars weaving around to create a more dreamy, ethereal sound, and while lp1 will always be the sound I connect with most, I wouldn't want them to try to recreate it, and again I appreciate something new and more mature with each release. Lamos' jazzy drumming remains familiar, and he had a couple of horn segments although I was left wanting more of that. Gonna give it a few more listens this weekend and I expect it to continue to grow on me as LP2 did.
  12. Recently saw Daughters and it's easily one of the best shows I've ever seen, and ever will. Absolutely blew me away. If anyone's pondering it, don't miss it.
  13. Cancelling orders because the color didn't look like the mockup, you guys are bonkers. If the mockup had had streaks like that instead of dots/splatter, you'd have been fine with it.
  14. Sleepin' on cots. Wishin' that I had some tator tots.
  15. http://imgur.com/a/agmPaE0 Just rearranged my room for better acoustics and upgraded all components in the past few months. ProJect Perspective TT w/ ADC XLM MK II Improved Gold cartridge AMC 3050a (made by ex-NAD engineers and very similar to NAD) preamp into an Onkyo TX-8270 receiver which has several nice modern features like lossless streaming from any music service or networked drive. Q Acoustics 3050i speakers which I am obsessed with.
  16. Absolutely. I'm enthralled with them! Compared to my vintage DLK speakers I was using previously, the QA have a huge soundstage, detailed and more dynamic bass (I can notice sounds in bass rhythms and melodies that were previously just a thump from the DLKs), and the music sounds like it's present in the air around you rather than coming from speakers across the room. Also noticed the lack of fatigue on the ear when listening at louder volumes. It just sounds better and better as you turn it up, rather than the highs getting distorted and bass becoming either muted or getting in the way of the mids. They're great speakers and I'd highly recommend them.
  17. Bump. I removed the follower goal. Gonna pull winners in a couple weeks.
  18. Upcoming shows: John Maus, Daughters, Single Mothers, Jenny Lewis, Spiritualized, Failure/Swervedriver, Sleep.
  19. Figured maybe we can do a thread with stuff people are currently spinning? Could spark some discussion of pressings/setup/etc. Here's me: https://imgur.com/d5gIGhG blue 2014 tour pressing /300 playing on a ProJect Perspective & Q Acoustics 3050i speakers. Sounds great. Pumped for their new album.
  20. I think you can start collecting no matter what your preferences are. One thing vinyl has done for me has expanded my tastes, and introduced me to new things. Browsing here and reddit (r/vinyl) and following vinyl-centered instagram accounts and reading comments and reviews has led to me listening to new things. As well as shopping in store- you'll see something that looks cool and throw it on their demo setup and end up bringing it home. Expanding a bit on Derek's advice-- If you want to enjoy the hobby definitely focus on setup first. It's easy to want to skimp on your first bit of gear and spend the $ on records, but consider the fact that if you can get a good quality TT, amp/receiver, and speakers together, you'll enjoy each and every record even more, and maintain them more easily. A lot of people spend $100 on a Crosley or LP60 and then have trouble playing some of their albums due to poor construction on the cheapie tables. The ceramic stylus common to those turntables wears down quickly and starts damaging your records. Furthermore, if you buy just 10 new albums and that's at least $200 into the hobby, much more than some people pay for their first TT. What I'd do is check your local craigslist, as well as USAudioMart, or any stores near you for some good vintage gear that's been cared for and runs smooth. Quality and performance of that stuff will far outweigh new gear at the same price point. If you can save up $300-500 for your first setup, it'll be several years before you'll consider upgrading. Good luck and keep us posted!
  21. Good point, maybe a bit overzealous. I changed it to 2,000. Mainly I just like a wider audience so there's more people to discuss stuff with. I have like 4 real friends who care about vinyl ha.
