  1. FYI https://consequenceofsound.net/2017/08/tool-are-planning-to-remaster-and-reissue-all-their-albums-for-vinyl-release/
  2. Sealed and mint. Looking for $80 shipped. This pressing: https://www.discogs.com/The-Smashing-Pumpkins-Mellon-Collie-And-The-Infinite-Sadness/release/7139534
  3. What I do is keep the record in its inner sleeve, behind the jacket, all in a poly bag. If taking that out and putting it on the TT is too much work, maybe consider putting up a poster or art print and listening to Bruno Mars on your iPod instead.
  4. The real question is how many minutes into the new album will Billy use the word "lover"? On Ogilala it was about 12 minutes.
  5. The production is terrible, particularly on the rhythm guitars. It sounds like a 128kbps rip of what it was supposed to be. No dynamics/range. Was thinking the vinyl was just a shitty digital transfer but Spotify sounds the same.
  6. I spun it once and thought it sounded good. Wasn't blown away, but I don't remember it sounding bad at all.
  7. Of particular importance here is that Coldplay fucked up the Sundays. Shipping is included in prices. Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head - white B&N limited pressing - Mint - $30 Fucked Up - The Chemistry of Modern Life - Mint - $18 Bloc Party - Silent Alarm - 2xLP + 12" - VG+++ - $90 SOLD The only defect here is a small repeating tic at the end of the intro track. The rest plays flawlessly. Happy to send pics if you'd like. The Sundays - Reading, Writing & Arithmetic - RSD 2018 pressing - Mint - $32 The Sundays - Blind - Brown RSD 2018 pressing - Mint - $80
  8. I have the bone white variant, it sounds great. Almost zero surface noise. I did a rip of it I can share if you PM me (done with good equipment).
  9. I don't know that I've heard the original Albatross. But I love that album and Dealer. Maybe it is an instrumentation thing. A few tracks are already growing on me, but the band has a much bigger sound on NMG, I think it's just an adjustment for me.
  10. Anyone else not a fan of the big production on this album? I feel like the songs are great but everything is so overdone, I liked the relative simplicity of Albatross and Dealer a bit better... need to listen a few more times though.
  11. I got to hang with the band after their Chicago shows, the dude smokes J's endlessly, it's no wonder it takes him so long to get shit done lol. Also according to some other members of the band he's "Aspergers-level" meticulous about things. Stoner + meticulous = don't get excited about anything productive getting done
  12. It's the new proper analog reissue. I ain't no fool.
  13. My wildest dreams came true last night, and I got these fully signed by MBV. I can't think of anything I'd rather have autographed. Even crazier is that afterwards Debbie and Colm had me come down into their green room (except it was black ), got me a beer, and let me hang around with them (the whole band, Kevin and Bilinda too). Being around Kevin especially was surreal. After saying how I loved the show so much I'd drive 7 hours to their Chicago shows this weekend, Debbie put me on the guest list. Headed there tomorrow morning for more mind melting sonic waves this weekend. Someone pinch me.
  14. Like I said they're really quick tics, nothing repetitive or super annoying. Still worth listening to and it's priced alright compared to some other limited stuff that gets pressed these days.
  15. Make sure you see the update I just did on the original post. There are a couple small defects on the pressing.
  16. Heads up to anyone who appreciates these guys' early work, Barnes & Noble has a limited white pressing online and in stores. Parlophone pressing and it sounds fantastic (listening as I type this). 2 years ago they did Parachutes on orange, it's now $150+ on the secondhand market, I'm glad I grabbed it when I did so grab this one before it's gone and on ebay. The store by me only had 1 in stock. https://m.barnesandnoble.com/w/rush-of-blood-to-the-head-coldplay/6587669?ean=0190295649852 Update: I have actually now tried two copies of this to verify it's a pressing defect, and indeed, both have a loud scratch sound in the left channel at the beginning of Daylight, and two on Warning Sign as well, one at the beginning and one towards the end. Overall the sound is very very nice, but there are those small defects. At the time of writing this post I was still on side A which has no problems. I'm still keeping one, but if anyone wants the 2nd, PM me and I'll sell to you at cost ($22 + $4 for media mail shipping). If I bring it back to the store I'm not sure what they do with it. It's still worth someone having and playing it for sure.
  17. Selling this pressing signed by the band. Got it from Huckberry when the album was released and they had these for sale. Was played once. Mint condition. $80 shipped.
  18. Selling this pressing signed by the band. Got it from Huckberry when the album was released and they had these for sale. Was played once. Mint condition. PM me a reasonable offer! As well as this lil thang: https://www.discogs.com/Bloc-Party-Silent-Alarm/release/472910 also minty, with one small exception: a little dot of schmutz on the first track, which results in a little tic for the last 20-30 seconds of the song. It may be able to be cleaned off carefully, but my spin clean didn't grab it. Taking offers on both. Send a PM! I ship safely and wisely. Would cut a nice deal if anyone wanted both for some reason.
  19. Bump. Norah is available. You know you want to hear that silky voice on vinyl. Seriously it's a great sounding pressing, I have a duplicate, very lovely.
  20. I ended up with 2 extra copies of the Mellon Collie 4xLP box set. Still sealed. Each $65 shipped. SOLD Also have Norah Jones - Come Away With Me, 2012 reissue on Blue Note, sealed. $20 shipped. $80 shipped for a pumpkins and the Norah. I can ship next day! Thanks!
  21. Saw David Byrne last week, one of the coolest shows I've ever seen, and he was real nice and signed stuff outside. The book was for sale signed at his merch table, excited to read it.
