Anyone remember that old "just don't look" Simpsons episode where they ignored the evil advertisers and they became powerless and shut down? Consider the same approach to jerkwad internet trolls. Block, let a mod know if you want, and move on. Homeboy gets no attention anywhere else in life and decides to try for it here, that sucks for those of us who are here for vinyl news and discussion, it's pretty easy to starve the troll and he'll go elsewhere. Typing this is already more of my time than I want to spend on the matter.
Looking forward to the PO when it happens. I signed up for Tool Army months ago hoping it'd prove fruitful, and that clearly isn't happening. Wonder if I can get a refund.

Popped in hoping for a vinyl update or at least thoughtful discussion of the new track, I should have known better 😣
 
Hoping the rest of the album is more dynamic than FI is. The well rounded folks over at r/toolband all love it of course.
 

Showed up today, more of a frosted color than clear. Spinning now, really actually loving the female vocals, I'd listened to Tycho a number of times before but it usually just makes me want to listen to Boards of Canada
Production/mix and vinyl mastering are all really good, it's a treat to the ears.

Early bird should arrive in 2 days for me but I caved and listened to the lossless download last night. Good stuff. I appreciate this band doing something a little different/evolving with each album. Lots of female vocals throughout are a nice addition and hold a great spot in the full-bodied mix. The memorable repetitive guitar licks we all loved from LP1 have now fully given way to multi tracked guitars weaving around to create a more dreamy, ethereal sound, and while lp1 will always be the sound I connect with most, I wouldn't want them to try to recreate it, and again I appreciate something new and more mature with each release. Lamos' jazzy drumming remains familiar, and he had a couple of horn segments although I was left wanting more of that. Gonna give it a few more listens this weekend and I expect it to continue to grow on me as LP2 did.
