Gumbo72203 got a reaction from whoa in [PO] HOLY FAWN – Death Spells
no clue what they're planning really... but caught the new tune at the show a couple weeks ago. Really good. These kids are so great, they deserve the world. I hope they become as big as Caspian or bigger.
Headlining tour of the UK next, good move!

Don't hold your breath. I share your sentiment, but I wouldn't expect anything. Maybe someday. None of the band members live in the same cities or states haha. Especially with Shy, Low already cranking out the follow-up to Snake.
Dude you buy both!!! Unless you're meaning the "Stella Mori" represses, but even then... get both! I'm so happy they finally pressed the first full-length. I love old I Hear Sirens.

Gumbo72203 got a reaction from mcpherson123 in ISIS - OCEANIC original pressing - Help identifying Release
Finally got my clear/gold cleaned and it's still noisy as shit and scratched to hell, AND it has a chunk missing from the edge lol. This is hilariously bad. I can cut my sandwiches with how sharp the edges are to this, and I could dig a hole with the area missing the chunk!
The remaster does suit some songs, but I picked up a couple copies of the lauded Trust No One pressing from Sweden, and yeah... that's the fucking sound right there. That's Oceanic.

been spinning them in my car all week. Aurora is a fucking titan. Holy cow this album. Hush is good too, but it's different. The title makes a lot of sense, it's a lot more subdued than Aurora is, which is cool, but I'm not sure I want not-rocking from Slow Crush to be their main delivery style. Gonna keep giving it time because it's obviously not bad, I just really like the in-your-face energy of Aurora.

Gumbo72203 got a reaction from Derek™ in Best/Worst Customer Service from a Distro/Label?
i need to give a shoutout to Maybeshewill and The Robot Needs Home Collective label.
I ordered 5 copies of the remastered "I Was Here For a Moment..." vinyl for myself and friends. First package shipped via Fedex disappeared. A second package sent via Fedex.... disappeared. Tracking shows they never even left the airport, so it seems someone is stealing.
Now, we're on our 3rd shipment that was broken into 2 parcels to be sent via USPS. They've been super responsive and helpful through all this, via their shipping broker SHHHIP LTD or whatever they're called.
Fedex can suck a tailpipe and die in a fire. Fuck them.

yeah it's gonna be a haul haha. Mono is playing this *TINY* awesome place in Portsmouth, NH called the 3S Artspace. It'll be like having them in my house. And then Mogwai at the Paradise which will be awesome, and Slow Crush at some other place in Boston. Can't wait.

Fair enough! Saw the last few sales on discogs for the US version was in the 75-120 range 🤷♂️. I see now, too, that the EU copies go for 😳 a lot more than I thought! I'm pretty open to negotiation with anybody. Sorry to hear about your cats...I'm proud cat dad myself and can't imagine where I'd be without my boy. This album definitely soothes the soul. Updated the op to trades and willing to negotiate..thanks!

Gumbo72203 got a reaction from prowl20 in WTB: Jakob- Solace
yeah, you're probably gonna have to spend a bit more haha. All my copies were $150 or more before shipping, and from Europe. I bought them as a coping mechanism for when my last childhood cats died within a month of each other last year, and I think i was in around $200 total for each. I didn't care about cost, I just needed them to help me.
The band was supposed to do them before Covid hit, and intends to eventually get to it, so we may get lucky, but you're going to have to either wait it out, offer up more cash, or hope to get lucky on Discogs haha.
Godspeed on your search friend.

Sorry I can see how my post could be misinterpreted; I saw all those things you linked, I was asking whether the 180g black is ONLY available from Eyesore. That's the one i want, so I guess Europe it is. Sorry!
@MayCauseDeath
New song slaps. It was funny, because when they hit the B section where it's just chugging guitars, I KNEW they were going to come in with a top melody over it after the lyrics ended and it was so predictable but I still ABSOLUTELY loved it. I was expecting it, and it was so satisfying when they delivered.

These guys have been remarkably consistent lately and remain one of the only bands I will pre-order without hearing anything.

How good is that new Blankenberge?? Sheesh. I know there isn’t much variety in their sound but Everything feels like they’ve perfected what they do.
Also, Cecilia::Eyes was previously considered mostly post-rock with some shoegaze tendencies but these new songs are 100% dreamy shoegaze deliciousness. Especially the newest one out today, “Parentheses”.

So stoked for this. Was worried about them adding vocals but it works very well here. That first song builds & builds & finishes great.

When I bought my tape deck about 10 years ago, I found this to be pretty useful. Should still be relevant. I've got a Nakamichi DR-3 that I love.

Booooo. Never assume that!
Pioneer CT-F8282 run through a Onkyo TX-8500.
Honestly not sure it really matters for cassettes though, thus the joke.

yo what! I've seen this name forever but never checked them out because the name seems cumbersome, but your description is everything I like!
