  1. This band was always borderline nu metal. But in the late 80s and 90s it was original what they were doing. Nothing original about this at all and I loved the band(at least real thing, angel dust, king for a day).

It is ok to have different opinions

Definitely agree about different opinions, I just don't hear the nu metal. This band had their sound before the term nu metal was ever coined.

Not trying to dismiss your opinion, but which nu metal influences do you hear here? To me, nothing in the vocals or instrumentation sounds like nu metal. It sounds like FNM doing what they've always done.

  2. Im just trying to sell the great album i had in my collection its craigslist dammit you people need to relax. If you don't like don't reply? If not waste your time and mine with your funny comments✌

oh, well, Craigslist! You can probably get a handjob thrown it!

On the up-side, you think we are funny! Hurray!

  3.

    Its not impossible at all.

I often have friends get me things like this at places.

But asking a friend (privately) is much different than blindly asking strangers on message boards.

(if you 108 posts, most likely people here are strangers, if you have over 6,000 there is a good chance you know folks)

    Understandably, and that's why I said it's a long shot - I get it.

I may be largely a stranger, but I did introduce myself.

    We all start somewhere ,right?

I've been slowly posting, when and where it's relevant.

I have made a few purchases/trades to start building up my feedback (even offered to help out with a few RSD things).

I haven't made any unneeded threads or otherwise acted like a noob to get known for the wrong reasons, but I am also not posting a bunch of BS just to pad my post count.

I presented some information and added a request (mostly joking but part hopeful) just on the off-chance that it could happen.

Even if the answer is probably no, you can't get anything if you don't ask for it, eh?

Good luck with that mortgage payment, btw.

  4. If anyone is in the Austin area:

Sad but true, Sunday will be the final day of our BLUEPRINTS Paramount Records focused pop-up shop in Austin, TX. We have loved our temporary second home in Billy Reid's storefront, and it's been our pleasure to stretch our eagle wings into the Lone Star State. To go out with a bit of a bang, we'll have a handful of limited edition records available each day from tomorrow to Sunday.

THURSDAY The Dead Weather Live Black & Blue LP (never commercially available outside of the Vault) + The Dough Rollers “Little Lily” tricolor 7"

    - FRIDAY Quintron & Miss Pussycat Live Black & Blue LP and The White Stripes “Lord, Send Me An Angel” tricolor 7"

    - SATURDAY The Great Gatsby Soundtrack Limited Edition Gold and Platinum Double LP (first commercially available metallized records ever!) and Karen Elson “Milk & Honey” 7" on Honey Yellow vinyl

    - SUNDAY Flat Duo Jets split-color Go Go Harlem Baby LP and Jack White “Would You Fight For My Love?” tricolor 7"

We will be doing our drawing for the winner of Volume 1 of The Rise and Fall of Paramount Records on Sunday as well, so if you haven't stopped in the store, entering the drawing now adds to the list of reasons why you should.

The rest of the reasons? Well, we don't know... How about Third Man Records vinyl, merchandise and novelties (zippos! shot glasses! guitar straps and picks!)? How about spending time immersing yourself in the catalog of Paramount Records, which boasts one of the greatest musical rosters ever assembled under one roof? Maybe even taking one home to explore on your own... you'll be an expert on American music in no time. How about taking a load off and kicking back with a pair of headphones and some of our best releases? We could go on...

Either way, we look forward to seeing you in our final days in Austin. Blueprints is located at 1122 West 6th Street in Billy Reid’s gallery space, and is open from 11 - 7 Thursday through Saturday and 12 - 6 on Sunday.

Would love to get my hands on that Dead Weather live black and Blue or the Jack White tricolor if someone is going. . .long shot, I know, but I have a few things to trade or would try to otherwise make it worth your time.
