Still hard to believe nobody is offering this stateside.

The microfiber I use is more of a small towel than a cloth. It's not like the things you use to clean eyeglasses or electronics. The vinyl always comes totally dry after a minute or so of drying it off with that. It may also help to have a small fan/hairdryer to go over the album as it becomes dry alternating with the cloth. Certainly playing a wet record would probably cause issues later!
 

I just made a new bottle of DIY record cleaning solution last night. Here's my method which I find to work great, and it's what a local (and renowned) record store uses... all of this in a spray bottle.
A few drops of Seventh Generation regular dish soap (no scent, that's the brand I use but I've heard regular old Dawn could work). It has 0% dye, no scent, etc. 91% Isopropyl alcohol (just under 25% of the bottle filled) Distilled water filled to the neck of the bottle. Spray onto a soft dish sponge and/or the record, gently wipe around record with the grooves. Pat and wipe dry with a soft microfiber towel. For the needle, I've always used a regular white Magic Eraser and just dropped the needle into it 3 or 4 times.

That's dictated by the market. If a variant sells out, it sells out. They are usually pretty good about repressing eventually and the black is STILL available, so if you really wanted the vinyl version, there ya go! Calling this a cash grab is a joke. It's not like they're selling their box sets for 229 euro like the Suspiria soundtrack thread you started.

Since the 2014 release of Philly outfit Death of Lover’s acclaimed debut EP “Buried Under a World of Roses”, many wondered if a full length follow-up for the band was even possible – largely due to the extensive touring schedule of Domenic, Nick, and Kyle’s other band: Nothing.  But between 2016 and 2017, the four piece band (that includes keyboard player CC Loo) was able to find the time to focus, demo, write, and carve out a stunning new direction and polished sound for the band.  “The Acrobat” represents that labor of love, and Death of Lovers have created one of the most eye-opening alternative records we’ve heard in years.
Thoughtful compositions weave driving synths, drums and guitars through lock-step rhythm and nostalgia before shattering into intricate and spacious instrumental breaks. There is a welcome complexity and depth to the tracks, which dance between moody and sweeping to sparkling and bright – creating a beautiful contrast to the honest and dark lyrics.
On the album single “The Absolute”, Domenic’s vocals (accompanied in harmony by drummer Kyle Kimball) take on the topics of selfishness and greed - “All in all is trembling fear – bound to fall on bludgeoned bell rung ears.  A senseless world of worth, deceived by needing, and the crow who perches on your tongue – reminding you it won’t be too long.”
“Lowly People” is the band’s answer to PULP’s “Common People”, cast through the lens of their own upbringing: the streets of Kensington, Philly – where “Broken glass shimmers like the stars, summer air breeds a certain violence.”
Somehow, The Acrobat achieves warm familiarity while sounding completely new.  While the tracks could easily have been included on the soundtrack to every one of your favorite 80s films, there is a fresh perspective and process evident in the songwriting that rewrites the “post-punk” rulebook.

Vinyl comes in standard black as well as limited edition color versions of 100 on Clear, 200 on Red, 300 on Yellow, and 400 on Blue. 

Yeah, Kirby mentioned in a Facebook post today that the final three stages are "post-recollection," leading me to believe there will be more of a left turn up ahead.

Received my VMP edition yesterday. Looks beautiful, and the vinyl is VERY smooth, my felt brush glides right over it. Surface noise doesn't seem very noticeable, I've only played sides A/B so far.

Bosses Hang is my favorite Godspeed song now.  Part 3.... ugh.  That is heaven for me.  That section could be 20 minutes long and I'd never get sick of it. 

Probably because their shipping charge was fucked. I just refuse to pay $12 shipping for a single lp. Hopefully they have a tour edition.

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield! Really easy to find dirt cheap at most record stores. It's long but part of it was the exorcist theme, and the whole thing is freaking great on Halloween.
